With the October theme “Charming Autumn”, the “Museum Night” product offers the public the opportunity to explore new art spaces, freely visit galleries, and enjoy collections of valuable artifacts and works. In addition, visitors can also experience the iMuseum VFA automatic guide application, participate in interesting interactive activities such as practicing traditional crafts, watching artists draw live, and shopping for souvenirs with many special offers.
The unique highlight of the program is the themed tour, designed as an “art treasure hunt”, making the experience more proactive and interesting. At the same time, the audience can also enjoy concerts performed by artists from the Vietnam National Academy of Music, and interact with guest artists in an emotional art space.
Appreciating the efforts of the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum in pioneering the organization of the "Museum Night" model, Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Hoai Son, full-time member of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Society, said that this is a new step, in line with the trend of night-time economic development, contributing to promoting tourism and spreading cultural and social values.
He analyzed that up to now, we are still used to the administrative work routine, while tourists tend to spend a lot of time in the evening to explore relics and visit museums - the time when they are really free. The fact that the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum boldly opens its doors in the evening is a breakthrough, changing old habits, creating motivation and inspiration for other cultural institutions to extend their night services, forming new and more attractive experiential products.

For museums, which preserve many artifacts, antiquities and national treasures, opening at night is even more meaningful. When visitors have more time to admire and feel, they will see cultural heritage through a different lens, with different emotions and resonance. Thanks to that, the artifacts seem to be "breathed into life", bringing new vitality. From love, habits to museums, we gradually nurture love for national heritage and develop the cultural industry.
From the public's perspective, student Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao (Hanoi University) said that she accidentally learned about the program through the fanpage "Hanoi's Stories" and decided to participate because she loves fine arts and wants to learn more about the history of Vietnamese art. This is also the first time Thao has been to the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum and she is extremely impressed with the intimate and attractive experiential space here.
As a guest speaker in the program, architect Vu Duc Chien said that the special space of “Museum Night” has inspired people, especially the youth of the capital, and at the same time opened a new direction for other museums to learn from and organize heritage nights associated with art and culture. With the theme “Charming Autumn”, he hopes that through painting, the public can feel more deeply the beauty of Hanoi’s autumn, as well as find the connection between art and life.
“Museum Night” is organized under the public-private partnership model, aiming to effectively exploit socialized resources to develop Hanoi’s cultural industry. This is also the first time the Museum opens after 5 p.m., limiting the number of visitors to ensure quality and maintain a true art viewing space.
According to the plan, "Museum Night" will be held periodically on the last Friday of each month, after the theme "Charming Autumn" (October 31), there will be "Winter Street Stories" (November 28) and "Missing the Twelve" (December 26).
