Hai Phong adjusts public investment plan for 2025, increases capital for many projects

Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Council Le Van Hieu signed a Resolution adjusting and supplementing the city's public investment plan for 2025.

This resolution was voted and passed by delegates of Hai Phong City People's Council at the 30th Session held on October 26.

According to the resolution, the Hai Phong City People's Council approved adjustments and supplements to the city's public investment plan for 2025 and extended the capital allocation period for project implementation for a number of projects.

Specifically, the Hai Phong City People's Council resolved to adjust the 2025 capital plan from the city budget for 654 projects managed by the city.

In particular, promptly transfer capital from slow-disbursing projects to good-disbursing projects in need of additional capital according to regulations.

The investment project to build a road from the North Cam River urban area to the VSIP industrial park road to Vu Yen island has been adjusted to increase the capital plan by nearly 272 billion VND in 2025.

Investment project to build the route after ports 3 to 6, Lach Huyen port area; investment project to build the intersection between Bui Vien street and Le Hong Phong street; investment project to build the intersection between Bui Vien street and Vo Nguyen Giap street are adjusted to increase by 150 billion VND/project.

The investment project to build a resettlement area to serve the site clearance of the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway construction investment project in Kien Thuy district (now Kien Thuy commune, Kien Hai commune); the investment project to build a resettlement area to serve the site clearance of the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway construction investment project in An Lao district (now An Hung commune, An Khanh commune); the investment project to build a resettlement area to serve the site clearance of the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway construction investment project in Duong Kinh district (now Duong Kinh ward) is adjusted to increase by 100 billion VND/project.

Hai Phong City People's Council also approved the adjustment of the 2025 capital plan with 73 projects under the new rural construction program of Hai Phong city in the 2021-2025 period.

At the same time, reduce 20 billion VND in the 2025 capital plan of the city's additional targeted budget for Cat Hai special zone to carry out important tasks and projects of the city.

The Hai Phong City People's Council assigned the City People's Committee to organize the implementation of the resolution to ensure compliance with regulations on public investment, regulations related to the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus and other relevant legal regulations; to ensure savings, efficiency, and no loss or waste of the state budget.

Note to rectify and draw lessons from agencies, units and localities that propose to allocate capital for projects exceeding the time allowed for extension according to the provisions of law.

The Standing Committee of the City People's Council, committees, delegations, and City People's Council delegates supervise the implementation of the resolution.
