More music products disappear after being called out for offensive lyrics

On YouTube, which has nearly 700,000 followers, Pháo's music video "Sự nghiệp chướng" (A Difficult Career) has disappeared. According to our investigation, the song has also been removed from other online music streaming platforms.

The song "Chuyen Nghiep Chuong" was released at the end of March. At that time, this product by Phao quickly received a large number of listens, but also caused much discussion on social media. A segment of listeners reacted negatively to the rap song's negative content and offensive language.

In recent days, Pháo's song "The Unfortunate Career " has been "named" in a document from the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee regarding its offensive and culturally inappropriate lyrics. Pháo's removal of the song with its inappropriate lyrics comes amidst a strong campaign by authorities to rectify the situation of inappropriate music .

Besides Pháo, singer Jack and rapper Binz have removed music videos with sensitive lyrics. Many also noticed that GDucky quietly deleted his song " Miền mộng mị" (Dreamy Land). Rocky CDE's series of diss raps have also disappeared from the rapper's YouTube channel.

A number of other rappers, such as 24k.Right, Robber, and Dangrangto, also began hiding their music with harsh and offensive lyrics.

However, B Ray caused confusion by hiding and then reopening "Cao ốc 20" (a collaboration with Đạt G) - a song also criticized for its offensive lyrics. Hieuthuhai's hit "Trình," with over 31 million views, remains on YouTube despite the ongoing controversy. Rapper Andree has also remained silent despite his songs being mentioned in the comments.

Previously, on October 24th, the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee sent a document to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports , the Ho Chi Minh City Music Association, members of the Ho Chi Minh City Council for Literary and Artistic Theory and Criticism, and Ho Chi Minh City media agencies regarding "Requesting guidance and rectification of musical activities exhibiting cultural deviations."

This includes considering not inviting artists whose works, behavior, speech, or performances are contrary to traditional customs and morals, deviate from cultural norms, promote a dissolute lifestyle, or social vices... to participate in programs, festivals, and events in Ho Chi Minh City.

At a meeting held on October 27th to discuss and agree on measures to address the issue of many songs with offensive and culturally deviant content, People's Artist Xuan Bac, Director of the Department of Performing Arts, affirmed that the management agency clearly demonstrates its spirit and stance in handling deviant behaviors in performing arts activities.

"Art is life, the stage is life, but that life must be refined to become art. A work of art must fulfill aesthetic and educational functions, conveying positive humanistic values. Offensive expressions in lyrics, costumes, language, etc., that go against traditional customs and morals must be dealt with severely," he emphasized.
