According to statistics from the Office of the National Civil Defense Steering Committee, from October 26 to 30, the average rainfall in the Central region is between 500 and 700 mm, with some places experiencing heavy rain such as Bach Ma Peak (Hue) with 3,211 mm. It is forecasted that from early morning on October 30 to 31, the Nghe An - Quang Tri region will have average rainfall of 100 and 200 mm, with some places experiencing over 350 mm.

The floods have killed 10 people (Hue 2, Da Nang 7, Lam Dong 1); 12 people are missing (Quang Tri 2, Hue 6, Da Nang 4); 22 people are injured (Da Nang 21, Hue 1); 128,024 houses are flooded or damaged (Quang Tri 663, Hue 44,507, Da Nang 76,427, Quang Ngai 5,201, Lam Dong 1,226); 4,376 hectares of crops are damaged.
The floods also caused 90 communes and wards to be flooded (Quang Tri: 4 communes were flooded from 0.2 - 1 m deep; Hue: 32 communes and wards were flooded from 0.5 - 2 m deep; Da Nang: 39 communes and wards were flooded and isolated; Quang Ngai: 15 communes and wards were flooded from 0.3 - 3 m deep).
19 national highways (9B, 9, 14B, 14D, 14E, 14H, 14G, 15D, 24, 24B, 24C, 28B, 40B, 49, 49B, 49C, Ho Chi Minh road section La Son - Hoa Lien, Ho Chi Minh road west branch, Truong Son Dong road) were blocked and had landslides.
As of October 30, the Ministry of National Defense has mobilized 51,061 officers and soldiers, 1,025 vehicles to help people overcome the consequences; evacuated 9,876 households, with 30,705 people (Quang Tri 137 households, Hue 2,474 households, Da Nang 6,805 households, Quang Ngai 460 households) to safe places.

On October 28, the Ministry of National Defense directed Military Region 5 (Engineer Brigade 270) to use specialized forces and vehicles to clear about 250 cubic meters of landslide-damaged soil and rock on Highway 40B and Road DH8 (in Tra Giap and Tra Leng communes, Quang Ngai); on October 29, they continued to clear the roads and organize supplies for people in isolated areas in Xuan Phu commune (Da Nang), including 50 gifts and 200 meals.
The Ministry of National Defense coordinated with the Ministry of Finance to advise the Government to provide Hue with 300 tons of national reserve goods in emergency situations; 1 DT3 speedboat; 5 sets of fire pumps; 2 sets of various generators; 20 sets of 24.5 m2 life-saving tents; 5,000 life jackets; 5,000 life buoys; 300 life rafts; 3 sets of drilling and cutting equipment; 3 rescue rope launching devices.
On October 29, the Ministry of National Defense directed Military Region 4 to mobilize forces and vehicles to help people and agencies in Hue City, especially to support the transfer of patients and equipment from Hue Central Hospital to a safe place; provide Military Region 5 with 14 tons of dry food and Military Region 4 with 5 tons of dry food to support people.
Today, October 30, the Ministry of National Defense continued to direct Military Region 5 to draw from the military region's reserve warehouse to distribute 8 tons of dry food, 1,850 cartons of instant noodles, 76,500 bottles of water, 12,300 boxed lunches, 900 cans of canned meat, 900 cans of canned fish, and 300 liters of fish sauce to support people in isolated and disadvantaged areas.
