Since early morning of October 31, in Dien Ban Dong ward, dozens of canoes and motorboats have been mobilized to bring food, provisions, and necessities to the isolated areas. Dozens of volunteer groups and members of the Da Nang City Trash Lovers Association have been present here in the past 2 days and prepared hundreds of fast food meals and bottled water to deliver to people in flooded areas. Priority points for receiving food and provisions today are Quang Nam Regional General Hospital, Vinh Duc Hospital and Duy Xuyen Regional Medical Center, where thousands of patients, relatives and medical staff have been fighting against the flood for many days.

Ms. Truong Tran Khanh Tuyen, a member of the Da Nang City Trash Lovers Association, shared: “The Association launched a relief campaign for people in flood-affected areas, sending many gifts of food and essential items. Yesterday, our group sent more than 1,500 gifts, and today we sent nearly 2,000 more gifts. We also hope to share this love with our fellow countrymen, who are suffering many difficulties due to natural disasters and storms. We hope that after the flood recedes and safety is ensured, we will continue to directly support people with the most meaningful gifts; at the same time, we hope to cooperate with the police, army, and functional forces to continue cleaning up after the flood.”
At the An Tay Ancient Quarter Community House - the point of receiving and coordinating relief goods for the entire Dien Ban Dong ward and hospitals in the old Dien Ban town, the Civil Defense force of Area V - Dien Ban together with police officers, militia and local youths assigned, stood by, and coordinated dozens of canoes and motorboats carrying relief goods. Lieutenant Colonel Tran Minh Hieu, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Civil Defense Command of Area V - Dien Ban (Da Nang City Military Command) said: "Regarding the coordination of relief goods from the arrival places, the Civil Defense Command of Area V - Dien Ban coordinated with the ward, the Front, the unions of Dien Ban Dong ward and units of Military Region 5, the police, and the military to organize the reception and distribution to people in flooded areas and hospital units. Currently, the military has reinforced 10 canoes to transport drinking water, dry food, and other necessary items."

In the past 2 days alone, the Old Quarter of An Tay has received thousands of essential gifts from volunteer groups. Thousands of meals, drinks, and instant noodles were delivered to hospitals; more than 3,000 gifts including fast food and essential necessities were delivered to people in deeply flooded areas such as Tu Cau, Ngan Ha, Quang Hau, Block 7B and Co An Tay.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Hieu, Secretary of the Dien Ban Ward Party Committee, said: “People in the flood-affected areas lack food and drinking water, so the locality has mobilized support from donors and volunteer organizations. Accordingly, volunteer forces have supported and provided food and drinking water to people in the flood-affected areas, ensuring that people do not lack food and water during the flood.”
Flooding in Dien Ban Dong, Dien Ban Tay, An Thang, Duy Xuyen, Dai Loc wards... caused serious damage to people and property. There are still thousands of households in need of support and shipments of love are still moving to the flooded areas, bringing the community's love and sharing to the people in the disaster-affected areas, as if to add more love so that people can soon overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.
* On the morning of October 31, the rain stopped and the water in the rivers in the southern part of the city began to recede slowly. On mountainous traffic routes and riverside areas, immediately after the flood receded, local authorities and people took the opportunity to clean up and sanitize the environment, quickly stabilizing their lives after the flood.
In mountainous areas such as Tra Linh, Tra Van, Tra Leng, Tra Tan, Phuoc Nang, Phuoc Hiep, Phuoc Tra commune, Hiep Duc... many roads were cut off, traffic still had many difficulties. Heavy rain caused thousands of cubic meters of rock and soil to collapse and destroy inter-village roads. In many places, floodwaters receded, leaving behind a road full of trash and mud. Localities are implementing work to overcome the consequences, mobilizing machinery and equipment to level rocks and soil to soon clear key traffic routes and to provide necessities to the people.

At flooded areas, military forces, police, militia, and local people worked together to clean up their houses; and took to the streets to push back the mud left behind by the flood on traffic routes with the motto "where the water recedes, we clean up". In the downstream areas, armed forces and local authorities also urgently supplied food to people in flooded areas.
