From early morning, teachers of Tran Quoc Toan Primary School (Phu Xuan Ward, Hue City) and over 100 officers and soldiers of the Hue City Military Command actively cleaned the school grounds.

Busy arranging tables and chairs, Mr. Duong Quang Nam, Principal of Tran Quoc Toan Primary School, shared: During the recent flood, the school had to clean up twice. After the first cleaning, the water continued to rise. The water was about 1 meter deep, damaging some equipment and books. After the water receded, the school mobilized all teachers and the support of soldiers and militia to urgently clean up, to welcome the students back to school soon.

With the support of about 100 police officers and militia, on the morning of October 31, Phu My Primary School (My Thuong Ward) cleaned the campus, classrooms, washed, and rearranged tables and chairs.

Mr. Vo Van Hung, Headmaster of Phu My Primary School (My Thuong Ward), said that the receding water left behind a layer of mud about 10cm deep, making the cleaning task very difficult. Thanks to the support of police officers from the Social Order Administrative Management Police Department PC 06, the militia and self-defense forces, and the enthusiasm of the teachers in the school, the school cleaned up the campus in one morning.

Mr. Nguyen Tan, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Hue City, said: The Department is launching a movement to support each other to overcome difficulties caused by natural disasters. In particular, teachers and staff of the whole industry focus on overcoming the consequences of floods. Units in safe highland areas strengthen connections to support colleagues and people, students in lowland areas affected by floods.

Flooded units and schools, after the water recedes, must use local forces to clean up the environment; develop a plan to clean up and sanitize classrooms according to the motto "where the water recedes, the mud goes". The Department is reviewing, counting and specifically assessing the damage caused by floods at schools.

The Department recommends that parents absolutely do not let students go to places such as rivers, streams, ponds, lakes and places at risk of dangerous landslides due to changes in terrain; it is strictly forbidden to use personal vehicles to move on rivers, lakes, canals, ditches... when safety is not guaranteed and there is not full life-saving equipment as prescribed.
