Mr. Dang The Anh - Head of the Department of Automobile Mechanics, Secretary of the Youth Union of Hue Industrial College - said that in the face of many people's motorbikes being severely damaged after the flood, the Youth Union of the school coordinated with the Hue City Youth Union and the PUN Hue volunteer team to implement a program to repair and maintain motorbikes for free for people.
Since the program began, hundreds of people have gathered on campus waiting to have their cars repaired.
"Since 1 p.m., we have received and repaired nearly 100 vehicles for people, and expect to reach about 200 by the evening. The program is expected to last three days, and we will still repair the vehicles," said Mr. Anh.
Vo Trong Thanh, a student at Dong A University, shared that around 10 a.m., upon hearing that the water in Hue had receded and that thousands of damaged motorbikes still needed to be repaired, members of the university's student SOS team discussed preparing wrenches, spark plugs, engine oil, etc. and immediately set off to Hue to support the people.
"At nearly 1 p.m., we arrived at Hue Industrial College and immediately started repairing vehicles for people. With the motto 'where the water recedes, there is support', when we heard that Hue had receded, the group immediately set off to Hue to help, then returned to Da Nang to continue supporting people," Thanh shared.

When the car exploded, joy erupted after the flood
Hearing about the free motorbike repair shop, many people in Hue city were happy and took their motorbikes to get repaired.
Leading the motorbike that had just been "revived" by the students out of the repair area, Cao Minh Duong - a student at Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy - said that the recent flood caused deep water and severely damaged the motorbike.
"Having a free repair shop like this helps me save a significant amount of money. We thank the teachers and students for their enthusiastic help," Duong shared.
Sitting in the rain waiting for her turn, Ms. Vo Thi Ngan Ha (30 years old, resident of Thuan Hoa ward, Hue city) shared that the recent floods caused her house to be deeply flooded, the water rose higher than her waist, completely disrupting her family's life.
Ms. Ha said that on the morning of October 27, the water rose very quickly. The whole family only had time to move their belongings to a high place and then quickly ran to take shelter. The motorbike was flooded up to the seat.
"The flood caused severe damage to many items in the house, and after the water receded, the car was covered in mud. While I was wondering what to do, I heard about a free car repair shop. It is so precious to receive support like this from students and teachers," Ms. Ha was moved.

In the campus of Hue Industrial College, the tired faces of Hue people after many days of fighting against the flood suddenly brightened when they heard their cars starting again.
Despite being tired and their hands covered in grease, the students' eyes still lit up with joy when they helped people get back to their normal lives after the flood. These simple acts of kindness not only "revive" the cars but also warm the hearts of the people in the flooded areas of Hue during these difficult days.
