Amid a wave of cybercrime that increased by more than 60% in just the first 8 months of the year, MB "actively defends" with AI to protect users before risks can occur.

When digital financial scams are no longer just stories in the news.

In August 2025, Ms. NP (26 years old, Hanoi ), an employee of a technology company, lost 85 million VND in just 15 minutes after believing a job offer with double the salary from a scammer posing as a recruiter. After downloading the application, submitting the application, and providing the OTP code as instructed, her phone was completely compromised, and 85 million VND vanished from her account. Despite being tech-savvy, Ms. P. cautiously checked the APK file but failed to detect the malware cleverly embedded in the fake application.

Ms. NP's case is not an exception. In the first eight months of 2025, the whole country recorded more than 1,500 online fraud cases (a 65% increase compared to the same period in 2024), causing estimated losses of more than 1,660 billion VND.

Serving 33.9 million customers with 40% of its revenue coming from digital channels, MB has implemented a multi-layered defense system that is continuously updated and improved, protecting customers at every transaction touchpoint from online to offline, from login to payment completion.

Level 1 - Automatic Malware Scanning: The App Protection solution automatically scans devices when applications are opened, detecting up to 99% of spyware and immediately cutting off services if compromised devices are detected. In just two weeks since its launch, the system has protected over 970 customers with total assets exceeding 20 billion VND.

Level 2 - Fraudulent Account Warning: Directly connected to the SIMO system and the Ministry of Public Security 's database, MB automatically verifies the receiving account and warns or stops the transaction when suspicious activity is detected.

Layer 3 - AI Behavioral Analysis: The AI ​​system learns personalized transaction behavior, analyzing timing, operation speed, receiving account, and geographical location to immediately block unusual transactions. This technology protects customers even when they are unaware of the risk of fraud.
