Free 3-day "Vegetarian Party" at the Memorial Day of National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc

Perhaps there are few places in the Southern region that have a special festival like the death anniversary of National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc at the historical site of Vam Nhut Tao, Nhut Tao commune, Tay Ninh province. Besides the solemn memorial ceremonies, during the three days of the festival on the 10th, 11th and 12th of the 9th lunar month, visitors from all over the country when coming to visit and offer incense can enjoy free vegetarian meals, warmed by the love of fellow countrymen.

Vegetarian broken rice serving customers from all over

Many days before the ceremony, hundreds of tons of rice, vegetables, fruits, tofu, wheat gluten,... were sent to the relic site by donors, volunteer groups and people from all over. Each person contributed a little, some gave rice, some gave vegetables, some gave labor, all joined hands to prepare for this meaningful "vegetarian feast".

The service areas are neatly and thoughtfully arranged: vegetarian rice area, vermicelli area, banh xeo, broken rice area, etc. always give off a fragrant aroma. Hundreds of people in the cooking team take turns working to serve customers from all over.

Ms. Pham Thu Thuy ( Can Tho City ) shared: “Our group has nearly 50 people, coming early in the morning to prepare meals such as rice, noodles, porridge to serve the locals and tourists. Everyone is very happy to contribute a little effort, together towards the death anniversary of Nguyen Trung Truc. Next year, we will continue to come back to participate in cooking and serving the death anniversary.”

Delegations from many localities came to participate in cooking to serve the death anniversary of National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc.

Not only local people, many volunteer groups from other provinces also voluntarily come here to cook and serve. Although coming from different lands, all have the same sincere heart towards National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc.
