Tay Ninh determined to accelerate to achieve double-digit GRDP growth target by 2025

On the morning of October 30, the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province held a conference to review and promote GRDP growth in 2025. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Van Son chaired and gave a speech.

According to forecasts, Tay Ninh's economy will continue to maintain its recovery and high growth momentum, striving for scenario 2, with the GRDP growth rate for the whole year estimated at 10.1%, and in the fourth quarter alone, it will increase by 11.32%.

Of which, the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector increased steadily, estimated to increase by 3.81% in the fourth quarter and 4.21% for the whole year; the industrial and construction sector continued to be the main driver of growth, increasing by 14.58% in the fourth quarter and 13.27% for the whole year, with industry playing a key role with an increase of 14.85% in the fourth quarter and 13.65% for the whole year; the trade and service sector is forecast to recover positively thanks to domestic consumption and tourism , estimated to increase by 8.63% in the fourth quarter and 8.45% for the whole year. Product taxes minus product subsidies in the fourth quarter increased by 13.45% and 8.92% for the whole year.

To achieve the double-digit GRDP growth target in 2025, the province must accelerate from the fourth quarter, with an increase of about 11.3% to complete the yearly plan of 10.1%.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Van Son requested departments, branches and localities to focus on synchronously implementing key solutions. In particular, the Department of Finance urgently completes planning adjustments in 2025, effectively implements Resolution 68-NQ/TW of the Politburo on private economic development, strictly manages public investment plans and disburses all allocated capital.

The Department of Industry and Trade promotes the development of the domestic market in conjunction with the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", strengthens connections for agricultural product consumption, controls the market, combats smuggling and trade fraud, especially in cyberspace.

Along with that, the Department of Construction was assigned to urge the implementation of social housing projects, striving to complete 1,743 units in 2025; promote the progress of key traffic works such as Ring Roads 3 and 4 of Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai Expressway, Provincial Road 827E and three bridges over Can Giuoc, Vam Co Dong and Vam Co Tay rivers.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment closely monitors the flood situation in the Dong Thap Muoi region, instructs people and businesses to practice safe production, meeting export standards. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism focuses on promoting and developing the tourism potential of Ba Den Mountain, striving to welcome 7.7 million visitors by 2025, with revenue reaching about 4,900 billion VND.

The science and technology, finance, banking, tax and statistics sectors are assigned to strengthen coordination, innovation, support business development, improve productivity and ensure credit resources for the economy.

In the first 9 months of 2025, Tay Ninh's economic growth rate reached 9.52%, leading the Southeast region and ranking 8th out of 34 provinces and cities nationwide. The indexes of industrial production, consumption, budget revenue, import-export and public investment disbursement all recorded remarkable progress, reflecting the strong resilience of the local economy./.
