Prioritize receiving green and clean projects in the investment attraction process.
Tay Ninh possesses a favorable location, along with open policies, synchronous infrastructure upgrades, substantial and drastic actions,... is an attractive and effective investment destination for domestic and foreign investors. Up to now, the province has 3,097 domestic investment projects with registered capital of 706,018.75 billion VND and 1,932 foreign investment projects with registered capital of more than 24.4 billion USD.
Although the locality has achieved positive results in attracting investment, contributing greatly to the success of the province, it has not neglected environmental protection (EP). The province's consistent viewpoint is not to trade the environment for economic development, not to attract investment massively but to prioritize investors using green, clean, friendly technology and minimizing the impact on the environment to ensure rapid and sustainable development as set out. Tay Ninh focuses on leading and directing departments, branches, sectors and localities to strengthen coordination, improve state management of the environmental sector, and minimize pollution and impacts on the environment. Enterprises in the area strictly comply with environmental protection regulations throughout their operations.
Huu Thanh Industrial Park (Duc Hoa commune) has an area of over 524 hectares, attracting about 60 domestic and foreign investors. During the investment and operation process, the Industrial Park has always identified environmental protection as a key task, closely linked to the sustainable development of the unit. The Industrial Park has completed all legal procedures, issued environmental protection regulations as well as incident response plans. According to the representative of the infrastructure investor of Huu Thanh Industrial Park, Phan Van Chinh, the Industrial Park has invested in a centralized wastewater collection and treatment system (with a phase 1 capacity of 4,000 m³/day and night, and an incident lake of 8,000 m³) to ensure that wastewater always meets column A standards before discharge. The automatic monitoring system is connected in real time to the management agency, with a team of highly specialized environmental engineers directly supervising operations. On the other hand, Huu Thanh Industrial Park focuses on planting trees to create landscapes, increase CO₂ absorption, improve air quality and limit environmental impacts on surrounding areas. Regarding environmental reports, Huu Thanh Industrial Park coordinates in accordance with regulations and contracts with units responsible for collecting, transporting and treating waste and hazardous waste. In addition, the Industrial Park also actively researches and implements clean energy projects, renewable energy, environmental monitoring systems and smart security to ensure safe operation of the Industrial Park, aiming at the goal of sustainable industrial development.
Similarly, during its operation, Thuan Dao Industrial Park (Ben Luc commune) complied with the provisions of the law on environmental protection. The investor completed the wastewater treatment system, installed a wastewater monitoring station, signed a contract to collect waste and hazardous waste with a unit with full functions according to regulations, arranged green areas to both improve the appearance and contribute to reducing air pollution and environmental protection;... Representative of Thuan Dao Industrial Park Duong Van Nam emphasized: "During our operation, we always comply with the provisions of the law; coordinate with relevant departments, branches and localities to organize propaganda on new points of the Law on Environmental Protection to secondary enterprises and workers in the area to grasp and implement. Some enterprises also converted production processes, applied new technologies, modern machinery and equipment that have little impact on the environment in production. Our orientation is to prioritize receiving green and clean projects in the process of attracting investment".
Improve management efficiency

According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment, environmental issues in production and business activities have been improved recently and management of the sector has become more and more systematic. The system of policies and laws on environmental protection in the province is continuously reviewed, amended and supplemented to suit the actual situation, creating a necessary legal corridor for state management of environmental protection.
In the process of performing public duties, all levels, sectors and localities have closely and regularly coordinated with enterprises, thereby supporting and removing environmental problems, creating favorable conditions for enterprises to confidently invest, implement projects and operate. At the same time, currently, units in the production and business sectors are clearly aware of their responsibilities and roles in environmental protection. Enterprises are interested in investing, building and effectively operating exhaust and wastewater treatment systems according to approved environmental records. Units subject to mandatory regulations by law have installed continuous monitoring stations for wastewater and exhaust quality to control and gradually limit environmental pollution. During their operations, enterprises actively participate and accompany localities and people in environmental protection work, making positive contributions to the sustainable socio-economic development of the province.
To improve environmental management in the production and business sector, in the coming time, the Department of Agriculture and Environment will continue to coordinate and synchronously implement solutions such as inspecting and monitoring environmental protection activities of operating enterprises; strengthening coordination with departments, branches, sectors and localities to improve the effectiveness of managing this work in the area. The Department strictly controls sources of pollution, especially in industrial parks, industrial clusters, production and business establishments; pollution in agricultural production; strengthen the management of industrial waste, hazardous waste, domestic waste; solve pollution in industrial parks and clusters;...
In addition, the Department of Agriculture and Environment advises the Provincial People's Committee to only accept projects with advanced, modern and environmentally friendly production equipment and technology, ensuring distance from surrounding residential areas, in accordance with local land use planning and plans; not granting licenses for energy-consuming projects, limiting the acceptance of investment projects outside industrial parks and clusters, except for specific industries and services; resolutely not allowing expansion investment for investment projects that do not perform well in environmental protection.
In addition, the Department of Agriculture and Environment continues to coordinate with units to carry out post-inspection work after approving the environmental impact assessment report, confirming the environmental protection plan; strictly implementing preventive measures, preventing the import and use of outdated technologies and old equipment that pose a risk of causing environmental pollution; coordinating with press and media agencies to promote propaganda and widely disseminate legal regulations on environmental protection to people, communities and businesses for understanding and implementation.
"In the coming time, the Department of Agriculture and Environment will continue to advise the Provincial People's Committee to issue an action plan to direct departments, branches, and localities - including people and enterprises - to implement synchronous solutions, maintain and improve the Provincial Green Index (PGI); promote green growth of the province associated with production development, while protecting the environment associated with the greenhouse gas emission reduction program, moving towards net zero emissions of the country and developing a circular economy, effectively utilizing resources in parallel with environmental protection issues" - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment Nguyen Tan Thuan said./.
