In An Luc Long commune, Tay Ninh province, a violent tornado swept through the hamlets of Cau Ong Bui, Cau Duc, An Tap and Hoi Xuan, causing 14 houses to have their roofs blown off and many areas of crops to be damaged. Upon receiving the news, the Commune Military Command mobilized forces and set up 4 working groups to go to the scene with the people to overcome the consequences. With the spirit of "proactively reaching out to the people", the soldiers, regardless of wind and rain, worked hard with the people to rebuild their houses and soon stabilize their lives.

Officers and soldiers of Team K73 built a house for Nguyen Trung Tinh's family.

Commander of the Military Command of An Luc Long Commune, Nguyen Hoang Loc, said: “Immediately after organizing under the 2-level local government model, we established a rapid response team to promptly respond to natural disasters and fires. Thanks to that, the mobilization of forces and means took place quickly and effectively. The militiamen are all devoted to the people, considering the difficulties of the people as their responsibility.”

Among the households that suffered heavy damage was the family of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Le Thuy, residing in Cau Duc hamlet. The sudden tornado blew off the entire roof of their house and damaged many properties. The militia soldiers helped Mrs. Thuy to temporarily cover the roof, move furniture, and repair the house. Mrs. Thuy said: “The tornado came so quickly, my house's roof was blown off in just a moment. Luckily, the militia came to help. They worked very hard and thoughtfully! I am truly grateful!”

In Duong Minh Chau and Tan Thanh communes, the tornado also caused many households to have their roofs blown off, their houses collapsed, causing damage of more than 250 million VND. Immediately afterward, the commune militia arrived promptly, helping people move their belongings, clean up the rubble, and temporarily overcome the consequences. In difficult times, the soldiers' sense of responsibility and dedication to the people became even clearer.

The family of Nguyen Trung Tinh (residing in Moc Hoa commune) now has a new, solid house, built with the sweat and effort of the officers and soldiers of Team K73 (Provincial Military Command). Mr. Tinh's family has no land for production and has to work for hire to raise two small children. Understanding that situation, the officers and soldiers of Team K73 volunteered to help him build the house. Mr. Tinh emotionally said: "The soldiers worked quickly and thoughtfully. My family is extremely happy, I will never forget their kindness."

In times of hardship, the people always have the army and militia by their side. Every action they take, every deed of theirs exudes a sense of responsibility, love and the close bond between the army and the people./.
