On October 30, floodwaters in Hue City began to recede. The train carrying rocks that had been deployed to "anchor" the Bach Ho railway bridge during the recent flood was also moved from its location.

In the central area of Hue City, the flood receded, leaving behind a large amount of mud and garbage. People took the opportunity to clean up, drain water, and clean their houses to soon stabilize their lives.

Some places still have standing water, the most serious of which is the area where the Thai To Temple is being restored - where the temple to worship the 9 Nguyen Lords is located.
