Lam Dong: National Highway 1A heavily flooded, traffic jammed

Floodwaters rushed in, causing deep flooding on National Highway 1A through Ham Thang ward, Lam Dong province, causing traffic congestion.

On the morning of October 31st, Mr. Tran Ngoc Hien, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ham Thang Ward ( Lam Dong Province), stated that the section of National Highway 1A passing through the area is deeply flooded, and authorities are closing the road, making traffic impossible.

The section of National Highway 1A passing through Lam Dong province was deeply flooded from the night of October 30th.

Earlier, from late night on October 30th to the morning of October 31st, floodwaters from upstream overwhelmed the drainage canal, causing water to overflow onto National Highway 1A (Km1701, Ben Loi Bridge section, Ham Thang ward), paralyzing traffic.

As of the morning of October 31st, a section of National Highway 1A was still deeply flooded.

Authorities from Ham Thang ward, the Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong province, and other relevant units were present to assist residents and regulate traffic. Currently, the area around Ben Loi bridge leading to Phan Thiet and vice versa remains deeply flooded, and vehicles are being directed to use the Kim Ngoc - Phu Hai bypass road.

Also during the night of October 30th to the morning of October 31st, floodwaters inundated Ham Thang ward, isolating dozens of local residents.

Upon receiving the information, the People's Committee of Ham Thang ward, in coordination with the Mui Ne Border Guard Station (Lam Dong province), mobilized personnel and boats to evacuate approximately 60 people from the dangerous area, ensuring their safety.
