On October 30, in Korea, the Investment and Trade Promotion Delegation of Vinh Long province led by Mr. Lu Quang Ngoi - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee had a working session with Samsung C&T Corporation, a member of Samsung Group.

Mr. Lee Ky-eong-su - Vice President of Global Operations of the company received and worked with the delegation.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Lu Quang Ngoi - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Long province introduced the current potential and advantages of the province. On that basis, the province wishes to discuss and invite Samsung C&T Corporation to invest in two areas: industry and renewable energy.

The province prioritizes attracting investment in industrial and high-tech industrial projects, especially projects associated with the formation and development of an ecosystem of local suppliers. At the same time, the province encourages investment, development and operation of industrial parks according to the “green - smart” model.

In the field of renewable energy, the province gives special priority to attracting investment in wind power, solar power and green hydrogen production projects, with the goal of ensuring energy security, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and promoting the transition to a green and sustainable economy in the province.

Truong Thanh Vietnam Group Joint Stock Company said it has discussed with Samsung C&T Corporation about research and investment in industrial infrastructure seaports, logistics, renewable energy projects, and electricity projects in Vinh Long.

Samsung C&T Corporation said that after the meeting, it realized that Vinh Long is a locality with many factors for the company to expand its investment in Vietnam. With the information provided by the provincial leaders, the company will assign research units and soon have a meeting in Vinh Long at the invitation of the Vinh Long provincial leaders.
