According to Thai Thu Xuong, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the purpose of the conference is to gather the wisdom, dedication, and authentic voices of officials, union members, and workers – those who directly produce and contribute to the development of the country.
According to Ms. Thai Thu Xuong, this extensive consultation clearly demonstrates the motto "The people know - The people discuss - The people do - The people inspect - The people supervise - The people benefit," proving the close and inseparable relationship between the Party and the people, between the Party and the working class and the Vietnam Trade Union organization.

Speaking at the conference, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Federation of Labor Unions, Nguyen Kim Loan, expressed concern about social security policies, especially in the areas of education and social housing. According to her, these are issues that directly impact the lives of workers.
The draft document states that the quality of education and training, especially education in character, personality, and vocational skills, is improving slowly. However, what concerns her most is the need to clearly define which subjects are fundamental and which are foundational at each level of education, in order to provide more specific guidance for educational work.

Based on her interactions with voters and workers at the grassroots level, Ms. Loan noted that many workers, especially migrant workers, often express concerns about their children's education. According to Ms. Loan, these workers have low incomes and face many difficulties in life, so they are very concerned about their children's education, especially practical subjects that help children develop comprehensively and have job opportunities in the future.
Ms. Loan also stated that many children of factory workers attending schools near industrial zones lack the financial means to pay additional tuition fees, thus having fewer opportunities to participate in life skills or soft skills classes. Meanwhile, children from wealthier families have the means to attend extra classes and access more personal development skills.

Ms. Loan expressed concern about this gap. “Unintentionally, society will form two trends among students: one group with the opportunity to develop comprehensive skills, and the other – mainly the children of workers – who lack such opportunities. This could lead to a skills disparity, affecting the equitable development of future generations.”
In addition to education, Ms. Loan also believes that the Party and the State need to create conditions for workers to receive training and professional development in specialized skills, political theory, and skills to adapt to digital transformation in the new context where digital transformation, technology application, and artificial intelligence are increasingly expanding.
Also concerned about the issue of training for workers, the Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Union, Phan Thanh Liem, suggested the need to build a system of universities and vocational colleges of world- class standards to train workers and laborers in the necessary skills and expertise. In addition, he proposed creating conditions for trade unions and workers to participate more and more in social governance.

At the conference, delegates also suggested that the document should harmonize the interests of employers and employees; that building a team of Vietnamese entrepreneurs should be linked to solutions for building the Vietnamese working class; and that harmonious, progressive, and humane labor relations should be built within enterprises…
