Mobilizing combined strength to implement strategic goals

On October 31, in Hanoi, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics coordinated with the Central Council of Theory to organize a scientific workshop with the theme "Contributing ideas to the Draft Documents of the 14th National Party Congress."

The workshop was held directly in Hanoi and connected online to bridges in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and Can Tho, with the participation of more than 700 delegates who are leaders, managers, experts, scientists , lecturers and students of the Academy and theoretical research agencies.

In his opening speech, Associate Professor, Dr. Doan Minh Huan - Permanent Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, said that the Conference consisted of two main discussion sessions. The first session "40 years of Innovation and the results of the 13th Party Congress" to review the 40-year innovation journey, evaluate and draw lessons, as a foundation for future development. The second session "Development orientation and strategic decisions during the 14th Party Congress" proposed trends and offered breakthrough solutions to build a strong Vietnam.

Associate Professor, Dr. Doan Minh Huan emphasized that this is not only an opportunity for experts and scientists to contribute to the content of the document, but also an opportunity to stimulate creativity, contributing to enriching the Party's theoretical treasure in the process of building socialism...

The working sessions took place in a democratic, frank, scientific and responsible atmosphere. The workshop emphasized that the draft documents of the 14th Congress should further highlight the great and historic achievements of the Doi Moi process over the past 40 years in all fields; including very important, comprehensive and breakthrough results, many outstanding highlights of the 13th Congress term.

Professor, Dr. Ta Ngoc Tan said that the process of summarizing 40 years of innovation took place in a global context witnessing rapid, complex and unpredictable changes. The 14th Congress has special significance - with historic decisions to realize the country's development goals by 2030, aiming to make Vietnam a developed, high-income country by the middle of the 21st century.

One of the biggest structural changes is the first time the three major reports (Political Report, Socio-Economic Report, Party Building Report) have been merged into a single Political Report. This decision by the Politburo aims to ensure focus and unity in the Party's policies and guidelines, while also making it easier for cadres and people to access and study them.

Opinions at the Workshop said that the draft documents need to continue to update the spirit and content of strategic decisions, as shown through the resolutions issued in the past and in the future by the Politburo.

In the orientations, key tasks and breakthroughs, it is necessary to focus on major and important issues such as continuing to perfect the synchronous, modern, effective and integration-compatible development institutions, ensuring consistency and continuity between the pillars of developing a socialist-oriented market economy, building a socialist rule-of-law state and practicing socialist democracy.

Many delegates emphasized the need to consider the development of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation as the main driving force to increase productivity, efficiency and competitiveness of the economy; develop high-quality human resources, and build Vietnamese people of the new era - with courage, knowledge, creativity and dedication.

In addition, it is necessary to continue strengthening national defense and security, expanding foreign relations, proactively and actively integrating deeply into the international community, and enhancing Vietnam's position and prestige in the international arena. Many opinions also emphasize the particularly important role of Party building and rectification in the new term.

Improving the Party's leadership, governing and fighting capacity, building a streamlined political system with effective, efficient and effective operations, associated with personnel work, discipline, order and culture within the Party are considered decisive factors to ensure the success of all Party policies and guidelines.

Delegates affirmed the importance of innovating the method of drafting Party Congress documents, in the direction of deeply summarizing practices and closely following development requirements. The documents have reflected the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country, clearly demonstrating forecasting, feasibility and actionability, aiming to mobilize the combined strength of the entire Party, people and army in implementing strategic goals./.
