On behalf of the Party, State and Fatherland Front leaders, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha sent his condolences and sympathies for the difficulties and losses that the Party Committee, government and people of Quang Tri province are facing.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the highest priority for the province at present is to ensure the safety of people's lives. Localities must absolutely not be subjective, must proactively take all response plans, especially in areas at risk of deep flooding and landslides. At the same time, it is necessary to promptly supply food, foodstuffs, and essential necessities so that people do not suffer from hunger and isolation when floods and rains continue to develop complicatedly.

The Deputy Prime Minister also suggested a number of long-term solutions to help Quang Tri province better adapt to climate change, emphasizing the shift from a "response" mindset to a "proactive adaptation" mindset to natural disasters.
On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha and the Central working delegation presented 5 billion VND in support to help Quang Tri province urgently overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
On behalf of the provincial leaders, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Chien Thang pledged that the province will allocate all the support money to the people in the flood-affected areas, ensuring the use of the funds for the right purposes, fairly, openly and transparently, contributing to helping people soon stabilize their lives and restore production after natural disasters.
