On the morning of October 31st, 50 students from the University of Technology ( Da Nang University) set off for Phan Boi Chau Primary School and Dien Tho Kindergarten (Dien Ban Tay commune) to join hands with the schools and local authorities in cleaning up and mitigating the aftermath of the floods.

Nguyen Thi My Duyen, a student from class 23KTHH1 at the University of Technology, shared: “When we arrived, everyone was stunned by the scene of devastation after the flood. Houses and schools were still covered in mud, and desks, chairs, and other belongings were severely damaged. Although the work was quite difficult, everyone tried their best to help the people stabilize their lives as soon as possible.”

According to Truong Ngoc Son, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Polytechnic University, students are currently focusing on helping to clean desks, chairs, and classrooms, and collecting garbage and mud at school sites after the floodwaters recede, in order to help students return to class as soon as possible.

Over the weekend of November 1st and 2nd, the student union plans to mobilize an additional 100-150 students to continue participating in cleaning efforts alongside local residents. The school will also assign union members to provide direct support to student families, contributing to sharing difficulties and spreading the spirit of mutual assistance among the youth of Da Nang University of Technology.

Similarly, from early morning on October 31st, students from Dai Viet College were present to help Lam Quang Thu Primary School (Hoa Vang commune) clean up mud, wipe down desks and chairs, and sanitize the schoolyard.

Mr. Nguyen Nhon, Principal of Lam Quang Thu Primary School, said that taking advantage of the receding floodwaters, this morning, with the support of military forces and volunteer students, the school urgently cleaned and sanitized the classrooms. The presence of the students was a practical action, helping the school to welcome students back to school as soon as possible after the days of heavy rain and flooding.

According to Mr. Ho Viet Ha, Principal of Da Nang College, the school has formed a team of approximately 50 students from the three departments of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Automation to help people repair broken electrical appliances in their homes, repair motorbikes, and fix electrical systems in their houses.

At the same time, the school's "zero-cost supermarket" will intensify its efforts to solicit and receive clothing, supplies, and other items to support people in flood-affected areas.

Embracing the spirit of student volunteerism, the Youth Union of the University of Economics (Da Nang University) launched the program "Supporting the people after the floods," calling on 100 volunteers to join hands with Vu Gia commune in overcoming the consequences of the natural disaster.

According to Dr. Tran Xuan Quynh, Secretary of the Youth Union of the school, on November 1st, students participated in cleaning up mud, debris, and waste in residential areas, schools, and public spaces; and assisted people in arranging, cleaning, and stabilizing their lives after the flood.

According to the Secretary of the Youth Union of the University of Economics, this is not just a volunteer activity, but also an opportunity for students of the university to contribute a small part to demonstrate their responsibility to the community.

After contacting the leaders of Go Noi commune to understand their need for assistance, the delegation from the University of Education (Da Nang University) announced that they plan to send approximately 100 volunteer students to Go Noi on November 2nd to help residents clean up their homes and schools, and work alongside them in overcoming the consequences of the recent floods.

With the belief that every helping hand is a ray of hope kindled amidst difficulties, the blue uniforms of student volunteers have become a beautiful image, reflecting the sense of responsibility, compassion, and pioneering spirit of Da Nang's youth, always ready to share and support the community in overcoming difficulties and stabilizing their lives.
