Many activities to stimulate shopping demand.
Taking advantage of the appeal of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2026, many shopping malls, supermarkets, and markets in the city are actively implementing various programs to stimulate shopping, promotions, and service discounts.
Running from May 25th to June 25th, the "Han Market - Shop till you drop, bring home lots of gifts" program is organized by the Han Market Management Board in coordination with the Han Market Women's Union to attract and enhance the shopping experience for locals and tourists. This is also an annual program here to stimulate shopping during the peak season of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival.
For purchases of 300,000 VND or more, visitors will receive a raffle ticket with a 100% chance of winning OCOP products, local specialties, and souvenirs from Da Nang. Ms. Ananya Gupta, a tourist from India, expressed her surprise at being able to shop and experience the promotional activities at Han Market. This was her first time visiting Da Nang's famous market, and she clearly felt the bustling atmosphere of the festive season here.
According to Tran Van Dung, Deputy Head of the Han Market Management Board, with a large number of visitors coming to shop and explore each day, the program is expected to create a vibrant business atmosphere for traders. Through the program, the Market Management Board also hopes to promote the image of Han Market as a friendly and civilized tourist destination, as well as introduce OCOP products and local specialties to domestic and international tourists, in addition to striving to create more shopping experiences and contribute to stimulating consumer demand during the DIFF 2026 festival.
Ms. Le Thi Hien, Director of Co.opMart Son Tra supermarket, said that in June 2026, Co.opMart Son Tra supermarket will launch a series of special promotions to serve the increasing shopping, entertainment, and tourism needs of locals and tourists. In addition, they will organize display areas for summer products, local OCOP specialties, and high-quality Vietnamese goods to serve tourists; and enhance convenient products to serve the needs of picnics, fireworks viewing, and family travel.
In particular, Co.opMart continues to boost its online sales activities to better serve the fast-paced shopping needs of locals and tourists during the DIFF 2026 festival. During the festival, the supermarket system will increase staff to handle online orders, replenish essential goods, and coordinate with technology-based delivery partners.
“Through technology platforms, customers can easily order items directly from their mobile phones without having to go to the supermarket. This enhances the convenient shopping experience, meets modern consumer trends, and contributes to promoting the image of civilized and modern retail in Da Nang, a tourist city, to domestic and international tourists,” Ms. Hien shared.

Strengthen inspection and control.
Mr. Tran Van Dung stated that, in addition to implementing shopping stimulus programs, the Han Market Management Board pays special attention to inspecting and monitoring the business activities of small traders during peak tourist seasons and festivals.
The task forces at the market regularly remind business owners to publicly display prices, sell at the listed prices, ensure the quality of goods, have clear origins, and treat customers courteously. The Management Board is determined to handle violations if it detects price gouging, soliciting, or causing inconvenience to tourists.
“We consider each business owner a ‘tourism ambassador,’ because they are the ones who directly interact with tourists, introduce products, and leave the first impression. When tourists are satisfied, they not only return but also recommend Han Market and Da Nang to their friends and relatives. That is the long-term value we aim for, especially during peak tourist seasons like summer and the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival,” Mr. Dung said.
To strictly control and ensure the stability of the goods market before and during the DIFF 2026, Mr. Pham Ngoc Son, Head of the City Market Management Department, said that the Department has implemented a high-intensity inspection and control plan to stabilize the market. Through this, they proactively prevent and promptly handle violations in commercial business activities; and resolutely handle cases reported through the hotline and email complaint box from residents and tourists to promptly address violations.
Currently, the market management teams under the agency are intensifying inspections and supervision of accommodation establishments, tourist boat service businesses, food and beverage services, and shopping establishments serving tourists. At the same time, they are closely coordinating with local functional agencies and units to effectively stabilize market prices, combined with disseminating information and guiding compliance with commitments not to exploit the festival period to excessively increase prices and fees. The agency also publicly announces a hotline number to promptly receive and handle feedback from residents and tourists, contributing to building an image of a civilized Da Nang in the hearts of visitors.
