During the survey, the working group inspected the current state of the landslide area; listened to local leaders report on the landslide developments over the past period, the difficulties and obstacles encountered, as well as recommendations for promptly addressing this situation.
The increasingly complex landslide situation is affecting the Prek Tung pagoda grounds and poses a potential threat to the safety of local residents. Given this situation, Hung Hoa commune proposes adding a landslide prevention project for the Prek Tung pagoda area to the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2026-2030, with an estimated total investment of nearly 15 billion VND. Once implemented, the project will contribute to preventing landslides, protecting the religious structures of the Khmer people, ensuring property safety, and stabilizing the lives of local residents.

Following a field survey, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Chau Van Hoa requested relevant departments and agencies to coordinate with local authorities to thoroughly research and assess factors related to topography, geology, hydrology, and the impact of water flow in order to propose appropriate and effective solutions. At the same time, they should review and balance investment capital appropriately, ensuring efficiency and avoiding waste. Based on this, specialized departments should advise the Provincial People's Committee on feasible implementation plans to prevent landslides and contribute to protecting state and people's assets.
