In particular, investment in infrastructure and student welfare at ethnic minority boarding schools has received significant attention. During the 2021-2025 period, the province invested over 100 billion VND in infrastructure and equipment for these schools. Specifically for 2025, the province allocated over 11.9 billion VND to upgrade these schools and purchase equipment to support digital transformation.

According to Mr. Thach Tha Lai, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training, education and training in ethnic minority areas continues to see many positive changes, and the quality of education is constantly improving. The percentage of Khmer ethnic minority students attending school at all levels has increased year by year, while the dropout rate has decreased significantly. The number of Khmer students admitted to universities and vocational training institutions is increasing, contributing to improving the quality of human resources and serving the industrialization and modernization of agriculture and rural areas in the province.

At Tra Cu Ethnic Boarding Secondary and High School, in the 2025-2026 school year, 100% of students achieved a "good" rating in their training, 182 out of 489 students received the "excellent student" title (37.22%), and 254 out of 489 students received the "good student" title (51.94%). Every year, the school maintains a 100% enrollment rate, and the quality of education improves year after year. In particular, in the 2025-2026 school year, the school had students recognized by the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions as outstanding ethnic minority students."

Student Kim Hoang Anh, from class 12A2, expressed: "During my years at school, my classmates and I have always been loved, guided, and supported by our teachers, like family. They have imparted knowledge and taught us how to live well! Preparing for the upcoming graduation exam, I will strive to study hard and achieve high results as a token of gratitude to my parents and teachers who have cared for and educated me throughout my school years."

Besides boarding schools, general education schools in the Khmer-populated areas are also striving to effectively implement the emulation movement of good teaching and good learning, effectively achieving the goal of raising the intellectual level of the Khmer people, creating a strong shift in the development of education in ethnic minority areas.

Long Hiep High School currently has 730 students, of which approximately 78% are Khmer. Although some students still face difficulties in their learning conditions, with uneven access to digital learning materials and equipment; and limited facilities and equipment for practical work and experiments, the school's management and teaching staff are always striving to improve the quality of education. Teachers foster a spirit of unity and responsibility, actively innovating teaching methods and effectively applying information technology; while also closely coordinating with families in managing and supporting students' learning, creating motivation for them to strive for academic excellence.
