The results of the penultimate round determined two more teams that avoided relegation this season: Dong A Thanh Hoa and Hoang Anh Gia Lai. Despite losing 0-2 to Ninh Binh, Dong A Thanh Hoa's four-point lead over the team behind them (25 compared to 21) allowed them to rest easy. Meanwhile, Hoang Anh Gia Lai surprisingly defeated Hanoi 3-1, successfully escaping relegation with one round to spare, finishing in 10th place with 26 points.
The relegation battle now revolves around the bottom three teams: SHB Da Nang, PVF-CAND, and Becamex Ho Chi Minh City. Having secured a valuable point after a 0-0 draw against Hong Linh Ha Tinh in round 25, coupled with Becamex Ho Chi Minh City's 1-2 defeat against Hanoi Police, SHB Da Nang rose to 12th place in the standings and now holds its fate in its own hands before the final matchday of the season.
The draw also helped SHB Da Nang maintain their four-match unbeaten streak and boosted their confidence ahead of the end of this year's V-League season. This is a well-deserved result after much effort from Coach Le Duc Tuan and his team in the crucial final stretch of the season.
Against Hong Linh Ha Tinh, SHB Da Nang fielded their strongest lineup. On the other side, despite being in a safe position in the standings, Hong Linh Ha Tinh also used their best players and played with determination to show their appreciation to the fans.
Both teams created an exciting match with many dangerous attacking opportunities. However, neither side managed to capitalize on them. For SHB Da Nang, Makaric had several chances to score, but the lack of accuracy and the tenacious defending of the Hong Linh Ha Tinh players prevented any goals from being scored.
The draw continued to be a turning point in the relegation battle, as SHB Da Nang now has 21 points, the same as PVF-CAND and Becamex Ho Chi Minh City, but ranks above the two teams due to a better goal difference.
Sharing his thoughts on the match, SHB Da Nang's head coach Le Duc Tuan said: "I wasn't surprised that Hong Linh Ha Tinh fielded their strongest lineup and played with great determination in this round. This was their last home game, so they wanted to show their gratitude to the fans. SHB Da Nang developed a suitable game plan, and the players worked hard to execute it. There were some unfortunate missed opportunities, but the point gained gives us more motivation to compete for relegation survival in the final round."

According to the V-League organizing committee's regulations, after 26 rounds of this season, the team at the bottom of the table will be relegated; the team above them will play a play-off match against the runner-up of the First Division to win a ticket to participate in the top tier of Vietnamese football next season.
Currently sitting in 12th place, SHB Da Nang has a chance of avoiding relegation directly. Therefore, the goal for coach Le Duc Tuan and his team is to maintain this position after the final match of the season.
In Round 26, SHB Da Nang will play at home at Chi Lang Stadium at 6 PM on June 7th against Dong A Thanh Hoa. Their two rivals in the relegation battle, PVF-CAND and Becamex Ho Chi Minh City, will also play at the same time, away against Song Lam Nghe An and home against Hoang Anh Gia Lai respectively.
To maintain their position, SHB Da Nang must win their final match. This shouldn't be too difficult a task if Coach Le Duc Tuan's players maintain their high performance, play with determination, and put in their best effort. Dong A Thanh Hoa secured their place in the league with one round to spare, having secured their place with 25 points.
In the event that all three teams at the bottom of the table win on the final day and finish the season with 24 points, SHB Da Nang will rank higher due to a better head-to-head record against two of their rivals. In the head-to-head matches between the three teams, SHB Da Nang won 3 and drew 1; PVF-CAND won 1, drew 1, and lost 2; and Becamex Ho Chi Minh City lost 3 and drew 1.
Coach Le Duc Tuan shared: “SHB Da Nang will strive to prepare as best as possible for the season's final match at home at Chi Lang Stadium against Dong A Thanh Hoa. The players have gone through a difficult season and will do their utmost to finish with a direct ticket to avoid relegation. Hopefully, Da Nang fans will come to the stadium and fill the stands, 'cheering on' the team on this decisive match day.”
