Mr. Le Quoc Phong transferred his activities to the Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation

(Dan Tri) - According to the resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Le Quoc Phong was transferred from the National Assembly Delegation of Dong Thap province to the National Assembly Delegation of Ho Chi Minh City.

The Office of the National Assembly has just announced the resolutions of the National Assembly Standing Committee on personnel work. In particular, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man signed and issued Resolution No. 1866 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on transferring the activities of the National Assembly delegation for Mr. Le Quoc Phong.

Mr. Le Quoc Phong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, National Assembly delegate of Dong Thap province, was transferred from the National Assembly Delegation of Dong Thap province to the National Assembly Delegation of Ho Chi Minh City.

The resolution takes effect from October 15. The National Assembly Delegation Committee, the National Assembly Delegation and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Thap province, the National Assembly Delegation and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and Mr. Le Quoc Phong are responsible for implementing the above resolution.

Mr. Le Quoc Phong (born in 1978), hometown in Hanoi, has a PhD in Biology, Master's degree in Biochemistry, Bachelor of Science in Biology, and Advanced degree in Political Theory.

Mr. Le Quoc Phong is a cadre who grew up in the youth movement and worked for a long time in Ho Chi Minh City.

September 1993 - September 1995, Mr. Le Quoc Phong was a member of the Executive Committee of the Youth Union of Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, Ho Chi Minh City.

From March 1997 to November 1999, he was a member of the Standing Committee, Deputy Secretary of the School Youth Union, President of the Student Association of the University of Natural Sciences (HCMC), a member of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Student Association, and a member of the Secretariat of the HCMC Student Association.

From November 2002 to December 2004, he was Secretary of the Youth Union of the University of Natural Sciences, Member of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Student Association, Member of the Secretariat of the Ho Chi Minh City Student Association, Member of the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union.

From January 2005 to September 2007, Mr. Le Quoc Phong was a member of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, Deputy Head of the Professional University Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City National University Youth Union, Member of the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City National University Party Committee, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Student Association.

From September 2007 to April 2009, Mr. Le Quoc Phong was Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, Head of the School Youth Union, Member of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Student Association.

From April 2009 to 2012, he was a member of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union, Permanent Deputy Secretary, Head of the School Youth Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union; Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Student Association.

In 2013, Mr. Le Quoc Phong was a member of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association, 8th term; Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union.

In December 2013, at the 4th Central Executive Committee Conference, 10th term, Mr. Le Quoc Phong was elected as Secretary of the 10th Central Executive Committee.

In December 2013, Mr. Le Quoc Phong was elected as the President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association, term IX, 2013-2018.

In January 2016, Mr. Le Quoc Phong was elected as an alternate member of the Party Central Committee.

On April 21, 2016, Mr. Le Quoc Phong was elected as First Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union and re-elected in December 2017.

In 2018, Mr. Le Quoc Phong was elected President of the Vietnam Youth Union, term VII.

In August 2020, Mr. Le Quoc Phong was re-elected as Secretary of the Central Party Committee of the Youth Union.

From October 2020 to July 2025, Mr. Le Quoc Phong was elected to hold the position of Secretary of Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

From July 1 to October 14, he was appointed by the Politburo to hold the position of Secretary of the new Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee (after the merger of Dong Thap and Tien Giang).

At the Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress held on October 14, Mr. Le Quoc Phong received the Politburo's decision on the assignment, transfer, and appointment of Mr. Le Quoc Phong to participate in the Party Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, and hold the position of Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
