Promote support for people to conduct online transactions

On October 29, Working Group No. 15, headed by Comrade Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, supervised the wards of Xom Chieu, Khanh Hoi, and Vinh Hoi on the implementation results of Plan 249 of the Central Inspection Committee.

Comrade Truong Thi Bich Hanh and working group No. 15 conducted a field survey in Vinh Hoi ward.

At the meeting, ward leaders reported on the implementation results of Plan 249 and made recommendations to remove difficulties and obstacles in the process of deploying and operating two-level local government.

The leader of Xom Chieu ward said that the ward currently does not have a staff specialized in digital transformation, the civil servants are still in charge of many fields, so the IT skills are not uniform, leading to slow progress in implementing some tasks. Along with that, the IT infrastructure of some equipment is degraded, not synchronized, not fully meeting the needs of connection, data storage and information security.

Khanh Hoi ward leaders also shared the difficulties in infrastructure and lack of human resources, while the ward has a lot of work. Accordingly, the ward is also facing difficulties in some projects such as relocating people in old and degraded apartment buildings.

Vinh Hoi Ward pointed out difficulties in infrastructure and lack of qualified and professional staff. The Ward also recommended that the city have specialized training courses on technology and digital transformation for commune-level officials and civil servants.

At the working session, members of the working group informed and responded to recommendations and proposals of the 3 wards.

Concluding the meeting, comrade Truong Thi Bich Hanh shared the difficulties and pressures that the wards are facing. She acknowledged that the 3 wards have completed their assigned tasks, as well as in serving the people after operating the 2-level local government.

According to comrade Truong Thi Bich Hanh, localities have many good and creative ways of serving people that need to be promoted. In particular, the role of socio -political organizations should be promoted to support people in digital transformation and the use of online public service applications.

He also asked the wards to review the tasks from now until the end of the year to speed up the implementation on schedule, especially the tasks related to people's lives.

Comrade Truong Thi Bich Hanh suggested that the working group take note of the common difficulties that the wards reflect and propose to promptly report and propose to the City Party Committee a mechanism to remove them so that the grassroots government apparatus can operate effectively and serve the people better.
