Van Phuc looks stunning before the start of the Tien Phong Half Marathon.

TPO - Before the start of the Tien Phong Half Marathon, the Van Phuc urban area appeared as a perfect backdrop: wide, open roads, lush green trees reflecting on the Saigon River, and a modern urban space bathed in light. Everything was ready to welcome thousands of runners, where sports harmonized with the green lifestyle of the city.

Located in Hiep Binh ward, the Van Phuc urban area is planned on a peninsula along the Saigon River, covering nearly 200 hectares. Viewed from above, the urban area appears like a carefully drawn map: wide, straight roads interwoven with a system of canals, a central lake, and long stretches of green parks.

Its location, "embracing" the river, gives Van Phuc a unique advantage in terms of scenery. Cool river breezes, sunlight reflecting on the water's surface, and lush green trees casting shade along the roads all create an open, airy space, distinctly different from the cramped pace of life often found in the inner city.

Van Phuc is not only envisioned as a modern urban area, but also aims for an ecological urban model. High green space density, a system of parks, regulating lakes, and riverside walking paths are strategically placed throughout, ensuring a balance between architecture and nature.
1000041678.jpg
For a long-distance race, this is a crucial factor. A tree-lined route helps reduce weather stress for runners, while open spaces and standard road surfaces provide a safe and comfortable experience for both amateur and competitive runners.
1000041686.jpg
The Tien Phong Half Marathon chose Van Phuc not only for its infrastructure but also for its ability to create a complete running experience. The wide internal roads, with few complex intersections, make traffic flow management easy, allowing the organizers to design seamless routes for the 5 km, 10 km, and 21.1 km distances.
1000041681.jpg
Runners will have the opportunity to stride along the main scenic routes, following the central lake, and gazing out at the tranquil Saigon River. It's the kind of route where each step is not just about conquering the distance, but also about enjoying the green living space – something that modern urban running events are striving for.
1000041679.jpg
Before the start of the race, Van Phuc possesses a unique beauty. In the morning, the early sunlight gently falls on the water's surface, reflecting off the modern buildings and lush green trees. The spacious squares and parks become ideal gathering points for the starting, starting, and finishing points.
1000041691.jpg
This space not only served the race but also created emotionally rich backdrops for the media and the audience. Van Phuc is now more than just a venue; it has become part of the race's story, where sports , nature, and urban life intertwine.
1000041692.jpg
Besides its scenic beauty, Van Phuc also possesses a significant logistical advantage: a system of wide roads, parking lots, and public areas large enough to accommodate water stations, medical facilities , recovery areas, and cheering zones. This makes it easy for organizers to implement a large-scale race, ensuring safety and a great experience for the athletes.
1000041693.jpg
The Tien Phong Half Marathon aims for a modern, enduring, and inspiring sporting spirit. Van Phuc, with its philosophy of developing a green and civilized urban environment, has created a natural synergy with that spirit.
1000041694.jpg
Before the race begins, the riverside urban area is not only visually stunning, but also ready to become the stage for the efforts, aspirations, and stories of thousands of runners.
1000041674.jpg
When the starting whistle blows, Van Phuc will not only witness a race – but also a moment of sports blending into the new urban rhythm of Ho Chi Minh City.
