A community of 600 people participated in the Tien Phong Half Marathon.
At noon on December 13th, the atmosphere at the BIB collection area for the first Tien Phong Half Marathon - 2025 became more vibrant than ever as many running groups gathered, eagerly awaiting the opening ceremony.
Mr. Nguyen Tien Danh - President of the Super Night Run endurance community, shared that this is a special race for the group because the venue is located right in Ho Chi Minh City - where the community regularly trains.
Mr. Danh stated: “Super Night Run is one of the most registered participants in the Tien Phong Half Marathon. To date, approximately 600 people have registered to participate.”

Explaining why Super Night Run chose the Tien Phong Half Marathon, Mr. Danh said that the community had participated in many seasons organized by Tien Phong newspaper and always appreciated the quality of the race. When Tien Phong newspaper organized the first Half Marathon in Ho Chi Minh City, the group immediately registered.
According to Mr. Danh, the prestige of Tien Phong newspaper is a crucial factor in building community trust: “ Tien Phong newspaper has a well-established name and many years of experience, especially with the upcoming organization of the 67th Tien Phong National Marathon and Long Distance Championship in Nha Trang. We have confidence in the organizing and operating team.”
Speaking further about the community's preparation for this race, Danh said that everyone was mentally ready. "We came to the race mainly for fun, but we always hope to connect with all the brothers and sisters, the whole community," Danh said.
Regarding the organization, Mr. Danh has high expectations for the quality of the first season at the Van Phuc urban area. He believes the organizing committee will provide maximum support so that all athletes can participate in a truly successful tournament.

The whole family went jogging together.
Mr. Nguyen Trong Duc (47 years old, residing in Binh Trung Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) said that he started participating in Tien Phong newspaper 's running races in 2020 and has almost never missed a race. Previously, he mainly participated alone, having "gone to the mountains and the sea" thanks to running in many locations organized by the newspaper such as Quang Ngai, Gia Lai , Lai Chau, and most recently Quang Tri.
The reason Mr. Duc has been associated with the Tien Phong race system for so long is because it is a long-standing race with a reputable brand. Many national athletes also participate and score points, creating appeal and quality for the race.

This year, when the Tien Phong Half Marathon was held for the first time in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Duc decided to register his whole family to participate. He has two sons, one 11 years old and one 8 years old. Having regularly seen their parents train and compete, the children have gradually developed a love for running and have participated in several races before. In this race, one of the boys bravely tried the 10km distance, instead of the 5km they usually did.
According to Duc, what he values most about participating in sports , especially running, is the health and discipline it brings. When the whole family runs together, the goal is no longer focused on achieving a high score, but rather on experiencing, enjoying the atmosphere, and bonding moments while running.

The fact that the race was held right in Ho Chi Minh City was also a great advantage for Mr. Duc and his family, as they didn't have to travel far. He said he wasn't too worried about the weather, as he was used to the climate and found running in the morning quite pleasant. The 21km, 10km, and 5km distances were designed appropriately, allowing the whole family to participate at a relaxed and enjoyable pace.
For the first time registering to compete in the 10km race, Nguyen Trong Anh (10 years old, residing in Binh Trung ward), the son of Mr. Duc, couldn't hide his excitement mixed with nervousness. He said that he had previously participated in 5km races three times, but had never tried a longer distance.
"I've never run 10km before, so I'm a little worried, but I'm determined to conquer this new challenge," Trong Anh shared. According to his family, this is the first time Trong Anh has registered for a distance that is far beyond his usual capabilities.
For me, this race is not just a competition, but also an opportunity to train my endurance, explore my limits, and gain more experiences with my family.
