(GLO)- On the afternoon of October 31, the Women's Union of Hoi Phu Ward (Gia Lai Province) successfully organized the 1st Congress of Delegates for the 2025-2030 term. Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Tuyen was appointed to hold the position of Chairwoman of the Ward Women's Union.

Attending the Congress were Ms. Nguyen Thanh Huong - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Women's Union; Mr. Vo Phuc Anh - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Ward People's Council; representatives of the People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hoi Phu Ward and 113 delegates representing 9,117 women members of the ward.

The Women's Union of Hoi Phu Ward currently has more than 9,000 members in 27 branches, of which nearly 20% are ethnic minorities. During the past term, the Women's Union of the Ward has innovated the content and methods of operation, building a strong organization.

The Association mobilizes women of all walks of life to actively participate in emulation movements and campaigns such as: "Women actively study, work creatively, build happy families" associated with "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style"; "Building a family of 5 no's, 3 clean's"; cultivating 4 moral qualities of "confidence, self-respect, loyalty, and responsibility"; "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas"... contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of Party Congresses at all levels.

The Ward Women's Union also established a "5-10 million VND savings club", models of "Rice savings jar", "Growing fruit trees, improving mixed gardens", "Cow breeding"...; thereby, helping 27 poor and near-poor households escape poverty in many forms such as: supporting cow breeding, raising pigs and chickens, and supporting seedlings.

In addition, the Credit Association with the Provincial Social Policy Bank lent members with a total outstanding debt of over 25 billion VND; the Provincial Women's Development Support Fund lent members over 1.5 billion VND.

During its term, the Association introduced 40 outstanding members for the Party to consider. 21 women were admitted to the Party. Up to now, the rate of branch presidents who are Party members is 77%.

The Congress discussed and agreed to set out 6 main groups of targets for the 2025-2030 term.

In particular, strive to help 1-2 poor or near-poor women's households escape poverty every year, with priority given to poor ethnic minority women's households; 90% or more of member households meet the criteria of "Cultural Family", of which at least 70% meet the criteria of "5 have, 3 clean" families; 80% of women with disabilities are supported in various forms; 80% of members have basic digital skills; 90% of branches or more completed their tasks well...

The Congress announced the decisions of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Women's Union to appoint the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Inspection Committee of the Ward Women's Union for the first term; and the list of delegates to the first Provincial Women's Congress, term 2025-2030.

Accordingly, the Executive Committee of the Ward Women's Union consists of 34 comrades; Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Tuyen was appointed to hold the position of Chairwoman of the Ward Women's Union.
