Vinh Long seeks solutions to the province's major problems

On the morning of April 3, 2025, the Department of Science and Technology of Vinh Long province organized a conference to propose major issues on science, technology, innovation and digital transformation in the province in 2025; Ms. Doan Hong Hanh - Provincial Party Committee member, Director of the Department of Science and Technology chaired the conference.

Attending the Conference were representatives of leaders of relevant departments and branches such as: Department of Science and Technology, Department of Education and Training, Farmers' Association, Women's Union, Vinh Long Radio and Television Station,...; representatives of leaders and scientists from universities inside and outside the province: Can Tho University; Center for Computer Engineering - Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology; Vinh Long University of Technical Education; Western University of Construction; Cuu Long University; advisory team, assisting the steering committee to implement Resolution 57; and businesses inside and outside the province.

Here, managers and scientists discussed the advantages and difficulties of Vinh Long province in implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthrough development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation; Program No. 69-CTr/TU dated February 18, 2025 of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of Vinh Long province; Plan No. 16/KH-UBND dated February 28, 2025 of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee implementing Resolution No. 03/NQ-CP dated January 9, 2025 of the Government and Action Program of the Provincial Party Standing Committee implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW; introduced achievements and results of implementing the application of science, technology, innovation to serve national digital transformation at universities and enterprises. In particular, propose major problems in science, technology, innovation and digital transformation in the province by 2025, focusing on the fields of health, agriculture and environment, education and training such as: building and applying AI to effectively exploit the province's shared database; building digital infrastructure; IoT infrastructure; training AI human resources...

Concluding the Conference, Director of the Department of Science and Technology Doan Hong Hanh emphasized the importance of Resolution 57 and sincerely thanked managers, scientists and businesses for always paying attention to support, proposing many solutions to the province's major problems and accompanying the province in the digital transformation process. At the same time, he pointed out 04 contents to focus on implementation in the coming time: (1) AI training; (2) Data digitization; (3) Long-term vision to propose major problems suitable to the conditions of Vinh Long province; (4) Strengthening the application of technology solutions in local management after the province's merger./.
