Opening of the 2025 National Expanded Music Festival "Music Convergence and Spread"

On the evening of October 30, at the Army Theater - Southern region (Tan Son Nhat ward, Ho Chi Minh City), the 2025 National Expanded Music Festival with the theme of Music Convergence and Spread opened.

Attending the program were Major General, musician Nguyen Duc Trinh, Chairman of the Vietnam Musicians' Association; Mr. Tran Huong Duong, Deputy Director of the Department of Performing Arts - Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; People's Artist Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City; Lieutenant General Tran Hoai Trung, Former Political Commissar of Military Region 7; People's Artist Pham Ngoc Khoi, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Musicians' Association... along with representatives of leaders of departments, branches of Ho Chi Minh City, many musicians and singers of many generations.

The 2025 National Expanded Music Festival takes place at the Army Theater - Southern region and Ho Chi Minh City Theater, from October 29 to November 2, 2025, with 7 performances at the Army Theater and a special art program performed during the festival's closing and award ceremony at the City Theater.

This year's festival was organized with many innovations, attracting more than 600 musicians, artists, and singers from 37 units including music associations in provinces and cities, the Vietnam National Academy of Music, theaters... to participate in performing nearly 200 performances in 2 fields: music works festival (composition festival), Vietnamese voice festival and instrumental solo (performance festival).

The jury of this year's festival includes: People's Artist - Musician Nguyen Quang Vinh, member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Musicians' Association, Head of the Jury; Musician Tran Nhat Duong, Head of the Inspection Committee of the Vietnam Musicians' Association; People's Artist Ta Minh Tam; Musician Giang Son; Musician Hoai An.

After the opening ceremony of the festival, more than 20 diverse and colorful singing, dancing and solo performances were performed.
