Conquering passion: Drama "shared husband life" explodes, People's Artist Kim Xuan: "I like it the most"

Episode 8 of “Conquering Passion” exploded with the dramatic confrontation “The Life of a Shared Husband”. Contestants Kim Hoang and Thoai Tran performed so well that People’s Artist Kim Xuan exclaimed: “This is my favorite performance”. The Top 6 of season 2 were officially revealed.

Episode 8 of “Conquering Passion” season 2 has just aired, continuing to prove the heat of the acting race. Under the guidance of MC Nguyen Anh Tu, the “powerful quartet” including People’s Artist Kim Xuan, Artist Trung Dan, Meritorious Artist Duc Thinh and Meritorious Artist Hanh Thuy made sharp assessments to find the final top 6.

With the theme “Agreeable duo – color of tears”, the contestants had to pair up with their opponents to create an emotional performance. The highlight of this episode was the dramatic “first wife - second wife” fight, People’s Artist Kim Xuan praised it as “like listening to music”.

The highlight of episode 8 belonged to the duo Kim Hoang and Thoai Tran with the performance “Kiep Chong Chung”. This was the performance that was considered the most “tense” and dramatic of the night, receiving a “shower” of compliments from the judges.

Kim Hoang plays the beautiful young second wife, while Thoai Tran plays the role of the first wife in a wealthy family. Both of them have excellently portrayed the struggle for status, with the intrigues and tragedies of the "shared husband" fate.

The drama was pushed to its climax when the "earth-shattering" secrets were exposed. The first wife (Thoai Tran), in order to consolidate her position, cruelly harmed her husband to become infertile so that no other wife could have children. On the contrary, the seemingly innocent second wife (Kim Hoang) secretly had an affair with another man to get pregnant, in order to usurp the position of the mistress of the house.

The harmonious juggling, continuous plot twists and passionate acting of the two contestants completely conquered People's Artist Kim Xuan. The veteran artist could not hide her satisfaction: "If I had to say one thing, I would say this is my favorite performance in this program. I was watching a play but it felt like I was listening to music. You guys brought a very "beautiful" melody."

People's Artist Kim Xuan affirmed: "The performance had a climax, a good script, and the actors performed well, and juggled very well. Finally, I found something interesting in today's program."

Artist Trung Dan also agreed, saying that Kim Hoang and Thoai Tran had divided the characters’ psychology very evenly, creating appropriate conflicts and ups and downs, making the audience interested. However, the male judge also gave profound comments when he said that the characters’ smiles were still “very fake”. He advised the contestants to invest more in distinguishing between “poisonous” smiles, “sinister” smiles and “victory” smiles to make their roles more professional.

At the end of episode 8, the top 6 best contestants entering the next round were officially revealed, including Kim Hoang, Khanh Linh, Huu Thang, Minh Huy, Thoai Tran and Mai Anh Thu.
