Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Trung Quan - Deputy Head of Foreign Affairs and Promotion, Head of the Organizing Committee - emphasized: "UNESCO Travel Cup is a meaningful sports playground, where the spirit of solidarity, exchange and health training is strongly spread in the tourism business community".
This year's season brings together 12 teams from travel agencies and businesses operating in the tourism sector. In addition to the teams that competed in the 2024 season, many new teams also participated for the first time, creating a rich and colorful picture for this year's playground. Each match is not only a competition on the field but also demonstrates the spirit of cooperation, solidarity and mutual development of those working in tourism.
Permanent Vice President of the UNESCO Hanoi Travel Club Nguyen Tuan Anh affirmed that the UNESCO Travel Cup is not only a sports tournament, but also an annual activity with many meanings, contributing to strengthening relationships and spreading the spirit of solidarity in the Vietnamese tourism community.
Founded by the Hanoi UNESCO Travel Club in 2024, the tournament quickly became a familiar playground, creating opportunities for connections between travel agencies, hotels, transportation units and tourism media. With an increasingly large scale, improved professional quality and the support of many businesses, the UNESCO Travel Cup 2025 is expected to bring exciting matches and open up many new cooperation opportunities in the industry.
In the tournament, 12 teams will compete in the qualifying round, selecting 8 teams to compete in the quarter-finals, then selecting 4 winning teams to compete in the semi-finals. The final match will take place on November 13. The Organizing Committee will award the champions of the C1, C2, C3 Cups and the Second, Third and Encouragement prizes. In addition, the Organizing Committee will also award the Top Scorer and Best Goalkeeper of the tournament.
