This is a meaningful event, contributing to strengthening the cooperative relationship and connection between the two agencies in implementing the city's political tasks on ethnic affairs, religion and people's diplomacy.

The coordination program was built to promote the combined strength, contributing to the effective implementation of Directive No. 45-CT/TU of the Hanoi Party Committee on "Strengthening people-to-people diplomacy of the Capital to 2030, vision 2045", associated with the implementation of the Ethnic Work Strategy for the 2021-2030 period and policies and guidelines on religious and belief work.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions Nguyen Sy Truong emphasized that people's foreign affairs is a part of the foreign affairs of the Party and State, but is implemented through socio-political organizations, people's organizations and mass forces, aiming to enhance understanding, friendship, cooperation and solidarity between the Vietnamese people and people of other countries.

“The signing today not only opens a framework for cooperation between the two agencies, but is also an important step in bringing the cultural values, beliefs, religions, and national identities of the capital closer to the world ,” the Director of the city's Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions emphasized.
Chairman of the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations Nguyen Ngoc Ky affirmed: "The Union will promote its role as a focal point in the people's foreign affairs of the capital, accompanying the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions to carry out many cooperation and friendship exchange activities, mobilizing international non-governmental organizations to support the development of ethnic minority areas and religious establishments."
According to the signed program, the two units will coordinate in 5 key content groups: Propaganda, policy advice on ethnicity, religion and people's diplomacy; coordination in mobilizing, managing and supervising projects from socialized sources; international exchange and cooperation on culture and community development; refuting false information, maintaining security and social stability; periodically reviewing, summarizing and replicating good models and creative ways of doing things.

The program is expected to contribute to deepening solidarity between the people of the capital and international friends, spreading cultural values, ethics, compassion and tolerance of Hanoi people, contributing to building a civilized, modern, rich-in-identity and sustainably integrated Hanoi.
