The first reason Mr. Long analyzed was the competitive spirit of the players. For them, any tournament is a playground to compete and express themselves. That is why the spirit of amateur players is always pushed up high.
In addition, the element of national flag and shirt color makes those on the field want to devote themselves. At the 2025 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament, this is even more evident when many eliminated teams still boldly attacked to bring home many goals.

The second factor that leads to the rare occurrence of 0-0 scores is the ability of teams to calculate tactics. According to Mr. Long, one of the difficulties he encountered when playing grassroots football was that players easily lost focus and did not follow tactics.
This partly comes from the first reason, which is that everyone wants to show off and play their best. Therefore, some players often lose their position and forget to mark people.
"There were matches where my team only needed a draw, but my teammates were eager to attack. Playing on a 7-a-side pitch, sometimes all 6 players attacked, leaving only the goalkeeper at home. Thanks to that, the opposing team counter-attacked and won," Mr. Long shared.

And of course, the most important factor is technique. Being a casual player does not require them to have the same complete skills and techniques as a professional player.
Mr. Long's comment is well-founded, especially in the 2025 Vietnam Workers' and Civil Servants' Football Tournament. It is not difficult to see awkward first-step catches, close-range shots into the sky, or "meter-long" passes to teammates.
It is these somewhat clumsy handling that give the opponent an opportunity to exploit, leading to a goal.

The 2025 Vietnam Workers' and Civil Servants' Football Tournament is jointly organized by Tuoi Tre Newspaper, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor , and Vietnam Football Federation for the third consecutive year.
Entering the 2025 season, the tournament has affirmed its position as an annual, prestigious playground for workers, civil servants, and laborers across the country; contributing to promoting the movement of physical exercise and sports, improving the cultural and spiritual life of workers, civil servants, and laborers in particular and the whole society in general.
This year's tournament is honored to receive the support of Truong Hai Group Joint Stock Company (THACO), Dong Luc Sports Group, HTP Pharmaceutical Investment Joint Stock Company, Hoa Sen Group Joint Stock Company, Sunshine Group, Saigon Water Corporation (SAWACO), Fashion Connection Joint Stock Company (Faslink), 108 Central Military Hospital, 175 Military Hospital and a number of enterprises.
The final round of the Vietnam Workers' and Civil Servants' Football Tournament 2025 took place from October 31 to November 2 in Ho Chi Minh City, with the participation of 16 teams that had successfully passed the qualifying round.
