Joining the bustling atmosphere at the Trade Promotion Fair - Rural Industrial Products and OCOP, the startup market was organized to create an environment for connecting, displaying and introducing products. This activity contributes to arousing the entrepreneurial spirit and developing the rural economy .

Spreading the spirit of Resolution No. 57

The startup market is considered a special highlight, demonstrating the spirit of innovation and accompanying the Party's major policy on developing the private economy and small and medium-sized enterprises according to Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.

OCOP subjects brought to the fair well-designed products, combined with display and experience, creating a strong promotional effect, attracting a large number of visitors.

A typical example is Minh Chau tea establishment ( Tra Vinh ward) of Ms. Mai Duy Hanh participating with 2 main products: tea and soursop jam to promote the brand, find partners and expand the consumption market. After nearly 2 years of starting a business, the establishment has built a 6-hectare raw material area, producing 2-3 tons of jam and 3,000-5,000 boxes of tea each month. In particular, soursop tea products have signed a 3-year maintenance contract to the Australian market.

Many young start-up models have boldly applied digital technology in production and business, from supply chain management, traceability to online sales and social media communication.

Pham Van Chi Thien - representative of Tra Vinh University Startup Cooperative (Online Business Club), brought to the fair products such as: Cordyceps, thermos bottles, wax coconut seeds and bottled water. Thien shared: "Participating in the startup market is to learn from experience, find creative inspiration and connect with new business ideas, contributing to spreading the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship among young people".

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Quynh Thien emphasized: Through the startup fair, the province affirms its determination to bring Resolution No. 57 into life, spreading the startup movement linking economic development with preserving cultural values, and increasing people's income.

The province creates all favorable conditions to help businesses promote and connect trade; boost trade promotion activities, stimulate consumption, and help tourists have unique cultural, culinary and tourism experiences during the Ok Om Bok festival.

Networking opportunities

The startup market is organized to stimulate consumption and meet people's shopping needs, creating connection opportunities for businesses and production facilities inside and outside the province.

Ms. Doan Thi Tuyet Nhung - Deputy Director of Cacao MeKong Co., Ltd. shared: "Key products such as pure cocoa powder and premium cocoa butter have not only affirmed their position in the domestic market but also reached the international market. Participating in this fair, the company hopes to promote clean cocoa products, find partners to cooperate in production, and expand consumption."

In addition, Sao Kim sausage products of Sao Kim VFG Food Company Limited (My Long commune) are also a highlight at this year's startup market. Currently, product lines such as beef sausage, special pork sausage, fish sausage, pork sausage, and beef sausage of Sao Kim have been OCOP certified, affirming the position of the local clean food brand. Consumer Nguyen Thi Truc Linh (Hamlet 3, Tra Vinh ward) shared: "I have tried many types of sausages, but the first time I enjoyed Sao Kim sausage, I was impressed by the rich and delicious flavor."

Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Tri Thuc's family (Hamlet 8, Nguyet Hoa Ward) often prioritizes using clean vegetables to ensure health, especially for children. Mr. Thuc said: "My family grows some vegetables such as cucumber, spinach, mustard greens, coriander, etc. Because the land area is small, it is not enough for use. Coming to the fair, you can both visit and buy clean vegetables such as bitter melon and many other safe products."

Tourist Nguyen Thi My Hiep and her husband Nguyen Van Ngoc (from Hanoi) shared: "At the startup fair, I was impressed with the booths displaying regional products, many unique items, so I bought some as gifts and for my relatives to enjoy."

Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade - Pham Phuoc Trai said: In the context of digital transformation becoming an inevitable trend, organizing fairs is an important bridge to support OCOP entities in applying technology in production management, e-commerce, product promotion, and market search. To improve efficiency in the coming time, the Department of Industry and Trade continues to support businesses to increase competitiveness and expand cooperation.

Along with that, localities promote the OCOP program with the innovative startup movement, encouraging rural areas to boldly start businesses from traditional products, applying new technological production processes to increase value, preserve traditional crafts and create sustainable livelihoods.
