Collecting comments on the draft political report of the 1st Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030

BAC NINH - On November 6, the Bac Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor held a conference to collect comments on the draft political report of the 1st Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030. Comrade Thach Van Chung, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor chaired.

The first Congress of the Bac Ninh Provincial Trade Union is scheduled to take place in mid-December with the theme: "Improving the capacity to represent and protect workers; building a team of Bac Ninh workers with qualifications, skills, and industrial style, meeting integration requirements; together with the Party Committee and the People, determined to build Bac Ninh into a centrally-run city before 2030".

Comrade Thach Van Chung chaired the conference.

The draft political report submitted to the Congress is structured into 2 parts: The situation of workers, civil servants, and laborers and the results of implementing the Resolution of the Bac Ninh Provincial Trade Union Congress for the 2023-2028 term; goals, tasks and solutions for the 2025-2030 term. In part 2, in addition to forecasting the situation of workers and laborers, trade union activities in the coming time and the general goals for the entire term, the Congress sets out 11 groups of annual targets and until the end of the term; at the same time, it builds 3 breakthroughs and 9 groups of tasks and solutions.

During the process of drafting the report, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor closely followed the guidance of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor , the Resolution of the 1st Provincial Party Congress of Bac Ninh, term 2025 - 2030 and the practice of directing and organizing trade union activities and workers' movements in the province after the merger.

At the conference, delegates assessed that the draft political report was carefully prepared, with full content, comprehensively assessing the results of the workers' movement and trade union activities; the congress theme clearly demonstrated the action motto of Bac Ninh Trade Union in the new term. The draft report was scientifically constructed, reasonable, and logical. The general objective was comprehensive, with a long-term vision; the groups of indicators were suitable for practical requirements.

However, some delegates said that the report is still long; they suggested reviewing and ensuring consistency in data, correctly reflecting the role and responsibility of trade union organizations in the political system; studying and adjusting and supplementing a number of specific indicators in implementing the resolution of the new term congress, in accordance with the actual situation.

Comrade Nguyen Duy Dang, former Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation, expressed his opinion at the conference.

Some delegates suggested that the report should include a section on the characteristics of the situation, assessing the advantages and difficulties in the context of merging administrative boundaries and streamlining the apparatus; the report should more clearly demonstrate the relationship between trade unions and the government, other political and social organizations in the Fatherland Front system...

Speaking at the conference, comrade Thach Van Chung emphasized that the Bac Ninh Provincial Labor Federation is highly appreciated by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in organizing activities after the merger; ensuring smooth and effective work of caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers.

He thanked and appreciated the enthusiastic opinions of the delegates and affirmed that these would be important contributions to the completion of the political report to be presented to the 1st Provincial Trade Union Congress. On behalf of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation, he received and directed the Congress documents subcommittee to urgently study, adjust, supplement, and ensure consistency in structure, content and implementation progress.
