Speaking at the program introducing Vietnam's unique products, Mr. Hoang Anh Tuan, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Bac Ninh province, informed about the potential and advantages for socio- economic development of the province.
Accordingly, Bac Ninh province possesses a strategic geographical position, is the gateway to Hanoi capital, adjacent to Hai Phong, Lang Son, Thai Nguyen; located in the key economic development triangle of Hanoi - Quang Ninh - Lang Son and the economic corridor of Hanoi - Hai Phong - Nanning. With synchronous traffic infrastructure and strong development of high-tech industry, Bac Ninh has become a dynamic center of the capital region and the Red River Delta.
In recent years, Bac Ninh has emerged as a new growth pole of the country with much room for development. According to the planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, the province will have 50 industrial parks with a total area of over 15,000 hectares. It is expected that by 2025, import-export turnover will reach over 170 billion USD, ranking second nationwide.
In particular, the Gia Binh International Airport project, which meets 5-star standards, is being implemented and is expected to be operational by the end of 2026. This is a key infrastructure project, creating momentum to promote logistics, tourism and real estate development in Bac Ninh province.
Besides industry, Bac Ninh also has strengths in agriculture, tourism and traditional culture of Kinh Bac region. Agriculture is identified as the pillar of the economy with hundreds of typical products, of which lychee is the main export item, annually exported to China and present in more than 30 countries and territories in the world.

He said that Shandong province has a comprehensively developed economy, playing an important role in manufacturing industry, modern agriculture and international services. The province has many famous scenic spots and unique cuisine.
Through this, he expressed his wish that the two localities would strengthen cooperation in many fields, especially in economics and trade. The potential for cooperation between Bac Ninh and Shandong enterprises is huge. Shandong enterprises are interested in surveying and specifically learning about industrial parks and industrial clusters in Bac Ninh to invest in fields such as manufacturing, high technology, logistics, etc.
He also proposed promoting two-way import and export of specialty agricultural products between the two localities, especially Bac Ninh lychee in the 2026 crop season, towards deeper participation in the global value chain and supply chain in which Shandong province plays an important role.
Bac Ninh province is committed to creating an open and transparent investment environment, ready to support and accompany Shandong enterprises, especially Duc Chau city, in the process of learning, investing and long-term cooperation in the locality.
