Urgently deploy solutions to stabilize people's lives after storm No. 13

(GLO)- On the morning of November 7, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang inspected and directed the work of overcoming the consequences of storm No. 13 in localities in the Hoai Nhon area.

According to the preliminary report of 7 wards in Hoai Nhon area, by this morning, storm No. 13 had injured 6 people, including 1 in critical condition; flooded 3,733 houses; damaged 1,488 houses less than 30% and damaged 153 houses 30% or more.

Along with that, 3 primary schools had their roofs blown off, 1 headquarters had its ceiling blown off and some traffic works were damaged.

At the inspection session, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang requested the Party Committee and local authorities in Hoai Nhon area to urgently deploy fundamental solutions to support the people; especially mobilizing the ward's forces to clean up the environment and help people repair their houses to soon stabilize their lives.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested the wards to quickly compile statistics on the damage caused by storm No. 13 and send them to the Provincial People's Committee. Based on that, the province will soon allocate funding to help localities and people overcome the consequences of the storm.
