Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Thanh Ngai inspected the progress of projects invested by BEDA T&C Joint Stock Company.

On the morning of November 7, a working delegation led by Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Thanh Ngai made a field survey of projects invested by BEDA T&C Joint Stock Company in Hiep Thanh Ward. Accompanying the delegation was Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Le Thi Nhung.

At the survey and working session, a representative of BEDA T&C Joint Stock Company reported on the progress of the Bac Lieu Mixed Ecological Urban Area Project, with a scale of more than 409 hectares, a total investment of about 22,000 billion VND, developing about 5,437 real estate products including townhouses, villas and shophouses.

Up to now, the project has completed legal procedures and been granted construction permits for 07 sub-areas; of which, sub-areas B and C have accepted technical infrastructure, the remaining 05 sub-areas are continuing to level and invest in infrastructure.

The company said it is having difficulty raising capital due to the large scale of the project and the sluggish real estate market. The investor proposed that the province consider a mechanism to complete the exterior construction of about 15-20% of the land fund (about 500 units) in favorable locations, the rest will be transferred for customers to build themselves; quickly complete the transfer procedures of areas B, C, G in November 2025; organize auctions of the remaining 03 areas to develop utilities; at the same time, consider policies and support to speed up procedures for social housing projects in Bac Lieu and Tan Thanh wards.

Leaders of departments and branches have discussed and guided enterprises to remove difficulties within their authority related to investment procedures, project transfer, land allocation, auction and service development, creating favorable conditions for enterprises to speed up implementation progress.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Thanh Ngai acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of BEDA T&C Joint Stock Company in the process of implementing the projects, which initially contributed to renewing the urban appearance of Hiep Thanh area.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Thanh Ngai said that in the coming time, Ca Mau will orient its development towards forming economic zones and growth poles; developing urban - service - industrial areas associated with strengthening traffic infrastructure connections, creating a driving force to promote socio-economic development; in which, Hiep Thanh ward and Bac Lieu ward are oriented to attract projects on urban areas, services, culture - education, science - technology, and tourism to create a driving force for local development.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Thanh Ngai requested departments and branches to continue to closely coordinate with enterprises, promptly remove obstacles, support the completion of legal procedures, and ensure the project is implemented on schedule and with quality. The province will organize many working groups to meet and dialogue with the business community in the area to strengthen connections, grasp the situation and support the resolution of difficulties and obstacles.
