Leaders of the Provincial Labor Federation encouraged and gave gifts to workers affected by floods.

During storm No. 10, on her way home from work, Ms. Thao from Thanh Cong commune, a worker at Yen Binh Industrial Park, was unfortunately swept away by floodwaters, leaving behind her husband and two young children. Immediately after receiving the information, representatives of the Company's Trade Union and the Provincial Labor Federation quickly visited, encouraged, and shared the loss with the family. The Provincial Labor Federation alone supported 9 million VND, helping Ms. Thao's family overcome the difficult period and stabilize their lives.

Mr. Tran Van Quang, Ms. Thao's husband, shared: My wife's sudden passing is a great loss for the family. She is the breadwinner, I don't know where to start again. During the most difficult time, my family received timely attention, visits and support from the Thai Nguyen Provincial Federation of Labor and trade unions at all levels, which was a great source of comfort that helped me and my children have more strength to overcome the pain of loss.

During the recent storms No. 10 and 11, Thai Nguyen had more than 7,000 union members and workers seriously affected, with losses of 100 million VND or more. With the spirit of "mutual love and support", unions at all levels proactively grasped the situation, promptly visited and provided material and spiritual support to those in difficult circumstances, helping them to quickly stabilize their lives and return to work with peace of mind.

Not only stopping at immediate relief activities, the Union also coordinates with the government and businesses in natural disaster prevention, ensuring labor safety, supporting housing repairs, and restoring production. These practical actions clearly demonstrate the responsibility, affection, and representative role of the union organization in caring for workers in all circumstances.

Information from the Provincial Labor Federation: During the recent floods, the Provincial Labor Union received and supported grassroots unions with about 22 tons of goods and necessities with a total value of over 1.2 billion VND and nearly 1 billion VND in cash, organized 28 delegations to visit and encourage agencies, units, enterprises, communes and wards, and supported nearly 1,000 union members who were severely affected by storm No. 11 with a total amount of over 1 billion VND.

In addition, the Provincial Labor Federation also supported 100 million VND for 3 heavily affected businesses. Appraised 3 union members with difficult circumstances to support the construction of "Union Shelter" houses.

Although the gifts and support cannot compensate for all the losses that union members and workers are suffering, they are the heart and sharing of the trade union organization with the desire to help workers soon overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives and work with peace of mind.

In the coming time, the Provincial Federation of Labor will continue to coordinate with all levels, sectors and enterprises to deploy more practical activities, focusing on supporting housing repairs, restoring jobs, and ensuring social security for union members and workers in areas affected by natural disasters.

Not only during storms, but at any time, when union members and workers are unfortunately affected by natural disasters or calamities, the union organization is always present to visit, encourage and support.

With the spirit of “mutual love”, trade unions at all levels always consider caring for the lives, protecting the rights and sharing difficulties with workers as the top priority. The gifts, though small, contain the affection, care and responsibility of the trade union organization, helping workers to be more confident, overcome loss, stabilize their lives soon and continue to be committed to their jobs.
