Implementing many projects
Yen Phong Commune was established on the basis of merging 4 administrative units including: Cho Town, Dong Tien, Trung Nghia and Long Chau communes, with a natural area of over 27 km² and a population of nearly 64 thousand people. Immediately after the merger, the Party Committee and People's Committee of the commune identified one of the key tasks as developing traffic infrastructure associated with urban beautification, creating a breakthrough for Yen Phong to soon meet the ward's criteria before 2030.

The project to renovate and upgrade DT.295 has been basically completed, creating connection and trade between Yen Phong commune and surrounding areas. |
Before the merger, the planning and investment in developing traffic infrastructure of the communes were implemented methodically, closely following the general urban planning project of Cho and its vicinity for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. After the merger, the locality coordinated with functional agencies to complete the planning of urban subdivisions, implementing many synchronous and highly connected infrastructure projects.
One of the key projects is the renovation and upgrading of DT.295 route (section from QL18 intersection to DT.285B), with a total investment of nearly 80 billion VND, which is being implemented by the commune in coordination with Yen Phong Project Management Board. The route is 1.5 km long, 22.5 m wide, with a median strip, lighting system, trees and complete drainage. When completed, the route will expand the central space, connecting with VSIP Bac Ninh II Industrial Park, Yen Phong II-C, Dong Tien - Yen Trung Industrial Cluster, Trung Nghia - Dong Tho, creating a driving force to attract investment in high-tech industry and supporting industry.
Mr. Le Viet Cuong, Head of the Economic Department of Yen Phong Commune, said: “Transportation development is an important breakthrough to promote socio-economic development. The commune is reviewing and making detailed plans for key routes, mobilizing investment resources to expand and upgrade routes connecting residential areas, industrial parks and administrative centers, creating a new look for the urban space.”
Mr. Ngo Van Cuong, owner of a wood workshop in Ngo Noi village, shared: “Previously, the road was small and container trucks could not enter, making it very difficult to deliver goods to the provinces. Since the central road was expanded and paved, transportation has become more convenient, helping the craft village develop more.”
Towards green, civilized and sustainable urban areas
According to the leader of Yen Phong Commune People's Committee, the locality is experiencing rapid urbanization, high population density, and increasing traffic demand. The synchronous investment in the traffic system not only serves economic development but also creates conditions for upgrading technical infrastructure - social infrastructure, helping the commune complete urban criteria and strive to become a ward before 2030. This is a step in the right direction, in line with the general development plan of the province.

Not only focusing on developing technical infrastructure, Yen Phong commune also combines traffic investment with urban beautification, developing green, clean and beautiful living spaces. Central routes and newly invested routes are all designed with sidewalks, trees, drainage systems, and synchronous lighting. The commune has planned land areas for static parking lots combined with trees and parks to serve the community. In the period of 2026 - 2030, Yen Phong focuses on completing key infrastructure projects such as: Regional stadium, inter-commune wastewater treatment plant, domestic wastewater collection system, new urban areas and housing areas. At the same time, promoting the renovation and upgrading of subdivision roads, internal roads of residential areas, ensuring traffic safety, creating a space for synchronous development...
Thanks to the right orientation, the appearance of Yen Phong urban area is changing day by day. The total value of products in the area in 2025 is estimated to reach more than 406 trillion VND; the economic structure has shifted strongly, in which industry - construction accounts for more than 70%, services more than 26%, agriculture less than 4%.
With the widened roads and illuminated streets, Yen Phong is gradually asserting its position as a dynamic urban area, attracting investors and residents. Each completed infrastructure project not only opens up new development space, but also acts as a “catalyst” for the locality to move closer to its goal of becoming a ward before 2030.
