The exchange focused on sharing experiences in implementing foreign information work - a key factor in promoting local image, attracting investment, expanding international cooperation and strengthening foreign relations.
Both localities agreed that, in the context of deep globalization and increasingly fierce competition to attract resources, foreign information needs to be deployed synchronously, professionally and effectively, linked to the socio -economic development strategy of each locality.
Ho Chi Minh City - the country's leading dynamic economic center - has been playing a leading role in international cooperation, investment promotion and international economic integration. Meanwhile, Nghe An - a province with a strategic position in the North Central region - is gradually asserting its new position through comprehensive, proactive and creative foreign affairs.

Synchronous implementation on 3 foreign affairs pillars
Foreign affairs activities in major provinces and cities such as Ho Chi Minh City and Nghe An are implemented synchronously on three main pillars: Party diplomacy, State diplomacy and People's diplomacy. The harmonious coordination between the fields of political diplomacy, economics, culture and foreign information has created a combined strength, helping to spread the image of a dynamic, integrated and developing Vietnam.
Foreign information is not only directed to the world, but also an important tool to strengthen trust, social consensus, and raise domestic awareness of the country's position and role in the international integration process. This is also the foundation for ensuring national defense and security, maintaining a peaceful and stable environment for sustainable socio-economic development.

Nghe An - expanding relations, deep integration
In recent years, Nghe An province has strongly promoted the special traditional friendship with key partners such as Laos, China, South Korea, Japan and Russia. In particular, the Vietnam - Laos relationship is considered by Nghe An as a solid foundation for the province's international integration process.
In the 2020-2025 period, Nghe An organized and participated in more than 60 high-level two-way delegations and signed over 20 comprehensive cooperation documents, covering key areas such as economy, education, health and culture. These agreements not only contributed to strengthening the traditional friendship but also transformed political commitments into practical benefits for the people of both sides.

At the same time, Nghe An has also proactively expanded connections with many new countries and territories, signing 15 memorandums of understanding and cooperation agreements to promote trade, investment, training of high-quality human resources and cultural exchange.
With a selective orientation to attract foreign investment, Nghe An focuses on high-tech, clean and environmentally friendly industries. The province has proactively approached corporations and strategic investors from developed economies, thereby rising to the top 10 provinces in the country in attracting FDI.
Currently, a series of large-scale projects in the fields of high technology, manufacturing industry, renewable energy and modern agriculture are being implemented. Export turnover in 2024 is estimated to reach more than 3.2 billion USD, expected to reach 4.5 billion USD in 2025, affirming the province's efforts in deep integration and sustainable development.
The exchange of experiences between Nghe An and Ho Chi Minh City not only helps the two localities learn models and methods of organizing and implementing effective foreign information work, but also opens up opportunities for long-term cooperation in promoting the local image to the world.
Both localities aim to build a professional, multi-channel international communication strategy, closely linking diplomacy, investment promotion, culture and tourism. Thereby, contributing to strengthening the position of each locality domestically and internationally, while actively contributing to the overall socio-economic development of the country.

It can be affirmed that in the current period of deep integration, foreign information is not only a propaganda task but also a driving force for development. The close cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and Nghe An in this field will continue to create an effective coordination model, contributing to spreading the image of Vietnam more and more strongly in the international arena, while promoting localities to develop more dynamically and sustainably in the new period.
