Mr. Tran Manh Cuong - Director of Nam Ha Tinh Irrigation Company Limited said: At 7:00 p.m. on November 6, the water level of Ke Go Lake (Cam Due commune) was at elevation 3076/32.5m, capacity 294/345 million m3 , reaching 85.22% of the design.
The reservoir has been operating for spillway discharge since October 21. Currently, the reservoir is still regulating discharge through Doc Mieu spillway with a flow rate of 200 m3 /second.
Maintaining the spillway of Ke Go Lake is to lower the lake's water level and increase flood prevention capacity in anticipation of continued rain in Ha Tinh due to the influence of distant circulation of storm No. 13.

Nam Ha Tinh Irrigation Company Limited is managing 38 reservoirs in the province. After the recent heavy rains, the reservoirs have been filled with water and have been operated to release overflow.
Currently, in addition to Ke Go Lake, several large reservoirs in the province are also being discharged to increase flood prevention capacity and respond to heavy rains. Specifically, Da Han Lake discharges 15 m3 /second, Boc Nguyen Lake discharges 10 m3 /second, and Moc Huong Lake discharges 7 m3 /second.
Thuong Song Tri Lake, Kim Son Lake, Song Rac Lake, Tau Voi Lake, and Khe Xai Lake were filled with water on November 6. Some other lakes discharged water with small flow.
At Ngan Truoi Lake - the largest irrigation lake in Ha Tinh, the current water level is 46.63/52m, equivalent to a capacity of 563.44/775 million m 3 . According to calculations, during the flood that lasted from November 29 to 4, Ngan Truoi Lake "cut off the flood" of 71.5 million m 3 of water, ensuring safety for the downstream area.
Meanwhile, currently, the Ho Ho Hydropower Plant area is experiencing light rain and is releasing overflow at a flow rate of 10 m3 /sec. Huong Son Hydropower Plant is not releasing overflow.
Due to the impact of storm No. 13, Ha Tinh is forecast to have moderate to heavy rain, locally very heavy rain, with common rainfall of 50-100mm, locally over 150mm.
Rain started on the night of November 6. At sea, there were strong winds of level 5, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 7. Rough sea.
This rain is not forecasted to be too heavy, however, due to the recent prolonged heavy rain, high soil moisture, and poor soil cohesion, the risk of landslides is very high, especially in areas where landslides have occurred, along rivers and streams...
