Gasoline prices fluctuate in opposite directions, RON95-III decreases by 72 VND per liter

During the operating period on November 6, domestic gasoline prices decreased slightly, RON95-III gasoline had a new price of 20,416 VND/liter; meanwhile, diesel continued to increase by 120 VND/liter, reaching 19,323 VND/liter.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just sent a document to key traders and distributors of petroleum products regarding the management of domestic retail prices of petroleum products. Accordingly, petroleum prices will increase simultaneously from 3 p.m. today (November 6).

Specifically, E5RON92 gasoline has a ceiling price of 19,682 VND/liter, down 78 VND/liter; RON95-III gasoline has a new price of 20,416 VND/liter, down 72 VND/liter compared to the previous adjustment on October 30. In contrast to gasoline prices, diesel increased by 120 VND/liter, to 19,323 VND/liter; kerosene increased by 124 VND/liter, the new price is 19,395 VND/liter; meanwhile, mazut price decreased by 319 VND, to 14,320 VND/kg.

Since the beginning of the year, the price stabilization fund has remained unchanged, with no deductions or expenditures for petroleum products. A representative of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) said that up to the time before the price adjustment, the balance of the price stabilization fund (BOG) at the enterprise was 3,085 billion VND.

According to the representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in this management period, the plan to manage gasoline prices aims to ensure that domestic gasoline price fluctuations are consistent with world gasoline price fluctuations; continue to maintain the price difference between E5RON92 biofuel and RON95 mineral gasoline at a reasonable level to encourage the use of biofuels according to the Government's policy; ensure the harmony of interests between market participants.

In the most recent adjustment on October 30, gasoline and oil prices increased simultaneously, specifically E5RON92 gasoline increased by 710 VND/liter; RON95-III gasoline increased by 762 VND/liter; diesel oil price increased by 1,318 VND/liter; kerosene increased by 1,156 VND/liter and mazut oil increased by 541 VND/kg.

According to Decree No. 80/2023/ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 95/2021/ND-CP dated November 1, 2021 and Decree No. 83/2014/ND-CP dated September 3, 2014 of the Government on petroleum trading, the time for managing petroleum prices is implemented every Thursday./.
