According to Nam Ha Tinh Irrigation Company Limited, the current water level at Ke Go Lake (Cam Due Commune) at 7:00 a.m. on October 20 is +29.19m. According to the forecast of Ha Tinh Province Hydrometeorological Station, from the night of October 22 to October 25, Ha Tinh Province will have moderate rain, heavy rain, and locally very heavy rain. Rainfall in the areas is commonly 150-300mm.

Based on the process of operating and regulating water of Ke Go reservoir approved by the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province, to ensure the safety of Ke Go reservoir, Nam Ha Tinh Irrigation Company Limited announced that starting from 10:00 on October 21, Ke Go reservoir water will be operated and regulated through Doc Mieu spillway with a flow rate of 5m³/s to 90m³/s. The time of ending the spillway discharge will be based on weather conditions and reservoir water levels.

To ensure the safety of people and property of people in the downstream area, Nam Ha Tinh Irrigation Company Limited requests the Irrigation Investment and Construction Management Board 1 (the unit currently constructing and managing the main project) to arrange officers and employees to organize the operation of the spillway; requests the People's Committees of Cam Due, Cam Xuyen, Cam Hung, Thach Xuan, Toan Luu, Thach Ha, Thach Lac, Dong Tien, Thach Khe, Cam Binh communes and Thanh Sen, Ha Huy Tap, Tran Phu wards, which are affected areas in the notification system, to inform and guide people to know and implement safety measures, avoiding cases of carelessness, subjectivity, and unsafety during the operation and regulation of the reservoir.

Ke Go Lake has a design capacity of 345 million m3 of water - this is the second largest reservoir in Ha Tinh province (after Ngan Truoi Lake with a design capacity of 775 million m3 of water).

Besides Ke Go lake, to proactively respond to forecasts of heavy rain, Nam Ha Tinh Irrigation Company Limited will simultaneously operate spillway discharge with appropriate flow rates at large reservoirs in the province, including Boc Nguyen, Kim Son, and Thuong Song Tri lakes...
