VIMC successfully completed Party work, achieved positive production and business results in the first 9 months of 2025

On October 20, 2025, in Khanh Hoa province, Vietnam National Shipping Lines (VIMC) held a conference to review Party building and production and business activities in the first 9 months of the year, and deploy key tasks for the fourth quarter of 2025. In the context of many difficult economic and market fluctuations, VIMC still achieved positive and remarkable results in both Party building and production and business activities, and at the same time set out important directions and tasks for the fourth quarter of 2025.

The conference was attended by representatives of many central agencies, including comrade Nguyen Thanh Son - Head of Department 6 of the Central Inspection Commission; comrade Pham Thi Lan Anh - Deputy Head of Department; comrade Vo Thanh Nam - Deputy Head of the Government Party Committee's Organization Board; and delegates from central Departments, Committees, Ministries, branches and the Department of Economic Security - Ministry of Public Security . On the side of Vietnam National Shipping Lines, there were comrade Le Anh Son - Member of the Government Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, General Director of the Corporation; comrade Doan Thi Thu Huong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; and comrades in the Board of Directors, Supervisory Board, Executive Board, leaders of specialized Committees, leaders of member units and all Secretaries and Deputy Secretaries of affiliated Party organizations. The conference was organized online to connecting points in the entire Corporation system.

Party building work and political orientation of the entire VIMC system

In the first 9 months of the year, the Party Committee of the Corporation successfully organized the 7th VIMC Party Congress, term 2025-2030, creating an important premise for leading the implementation of political tasks in the new period. Closely following the policies and conclusions of the Central and Government on economic development targets, the Party Committee of VIMC issued many resolutions and specific action programs to lead the entire system to resolutely complete the growth target of over 10% in 2025, promoting the pioneering role of state-owned enterprises in governance innovation, digital transformation and sustainable development. The Party organization work was improved in the direction of streamlining and efficiency; many new Party members were admitted, strictly implementing Party management, activities, discipline and rewards. At the same time, VIMC promoted political and ideological education, studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and lifestyle; strengthened inspection and supervision, maintained Party discipline; seriously implement regulations on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity throughout the Party. Thanks to that, the Party's leadership role in enterprises continues to be affirmed, contributing significantly to the overall success of the Corporation.

Promote production and business, expand market and sustainable development

VIMC's production and business activities in the first 9 months of 2025 recorded positive signals. Many key indicators increased compared to the same period last year. Despite the general decline in the international shipping market, VIMC still maintained financial stability and completed most of the planned targets for this period. The above results show that Vietnam National Shipping Lines has proactively adapted and effectively coordinated between its operating segments to compensate and balance the overall situation in an unfavorable market context.

In addition to financial results, VIMC focuses on promoting investment in market development and expansion, increasing investment in the fleet to contribute to improving the Corporation's transport capacity. In particular, VIMC has opened a series of new domestic and international container service routes connecting through member ports. At the same time, the Corporation actively expands strategic cooperation activities: in the past 9 months, VIMC has signed cooperation agreements with many major partners in the fields of green energy conversion, finance and shipbuilding (such as Hyundai Group, PVN, BIDV Bank...), aiming at the goal of sustainable development, improving the quality of governance according to international standards.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Thanh Son - Head of the Department of Area VI, Central Inspection Commission highly appreciated and commended the results that VIMC had achieved in the first 9 months of 2025. He emphasized that in the context of many difficulties and challenges, the collective leadership, cadres, party members and employees of VIMC have made great efforts and united to maintain stability and achieved many encouraging achievements. Comrade Nguyen Thanh Son requested the Party Committee and leaders of the Corporation to continue promoting the achieved results, focusing on leading and directing the implementation of key tasks in the fourth quarter and the whole year of 2025.

On behalf of the Corporation's leadership, General Director Le Anh Son accepted the direction of the superior representative and thanked the attention, direction and timely guidance of the Central agencies, the Party Committee of the Bloc and the ministries and branches for the development process of VIMC. The General Director affirmed that the VIMC collective will seriously grasp and effectively implement the directions and guidance assigned by the superior leadership. He emphasized that the entire Corporation has been, is and will continue to unite, promote the spirit of initiative, creativity and determination, strive to overcome all difficulties and challenges to excellently complete the key tasks in the fourth quarter of 2025, creating a premise for successfully implementing the 2025 plan.

On this occasion, the Party Committee of Vietnam National Shipping Lines held a ceremony to award the 30-year Party membership badge to veteran Party members of the Party Committee of the Corporation. This is a solemn recognition of the great contributions and steadfast dedication over the past 3 decades of the Party members, and at the same time a common honor for the entire VIMC Party Committee. Also at the conference, the Corporation announced and awarded VIMC's commendation decisions to many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the labor emulation movement in the first 9 months of 2025.

The Vietnam National Shipping Lines' 9-month review conference in 2025 was a great success. The positive results of the past 9 months are the basis and motivation for the entire VIMC system to confidently enter the final sprint phase of the year, determined to exceed the goals and plans set for 2025, continuing to affirm VIMC's key role in the Vietnamese maritime industry.
