Thai Nguyen Association for Promotion of Education: Awarding 100 scholarships to students affected by natural disasters

On October 21, the Thai Nguyen Province Association for Promotion of Education coordinated with the People's Committee, the Fatherland Front Committee and the Association for Promotion of Education of Phan Dinh Phung, Gia Sang wards and Phu Binh commune to award scholarships to support students affected by floods. These are localities that suffered heavy losses in the recent natural disasters.

At the Program, 100 scholarships, each worth 1 million VND, were awarded to 100 students in difficult circumstances, affected by storms and floods (including 50 scholarships for students in Phan Dinh Phung ward, 25 scholarships for students in Gia Sang ward and 25 scholarships for students in Phu Binh commune). The support is to help them overcome some of their difficulties and stabilize their studies.

The scholarship funding is drawn from the Vietnam Education Promotion Fund, with extraordinary support from the Central Vietnam Education Promotion Association .

Also on this occasion, the leaders of the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education, the Fatherland Front Committee and the Association for Promotion of Education of Phan Dinh Phung Ward visited and presented 3 million VND from the Central Vietnam Association for Promotion of Education to support the family of teacher Ly Thi Thanh Xuan, Principal of Cam Gia Secondary School, who was unfortunately swept away by floodwaters on October 8.
