
The seafood products of Nhat Tam Cooperative have been recognized by the city as part of a safe agricultural, forestry, and fisheries supply chain.
In addition, the Department of Agriculture and Environment assessed and issued food safety certificates to 288 establishments, bringing the total number of establishments under management in the city to 1,141. Simultaneously, it organized 70 establishments to implement commitments to produce and trade safe agricultural, forestry, and aquatic products. The city has now certified 183 safe food supply chains, encompassing 529 products.
Regarding the development of markets for agricultural, forestry, and aquatic products, the Department of Agriculture and Environment regularly informs businesses in the city to continue updating products and goods on the chonongsan.vn website for products certified as safe agricultural, forestry, and aquatic supply chain products, and products certified under the OCOP program; promoting the consumption of agricultural products through conferences, seminars, exhibitions in provinces and regions, and meetings with foreign partners. The Department also advises on connecting and promoting trade, finding markets for Vinh Chau purple onions, with a total annual planting area of approximately 7,200 hectares, a total expected production of 117,000 tons, of which more than 1,148 hectares are produced organically.
