Zero-dong stalls are like miniature supermarkets. |
Up to this point, the families affected by the floods have basically finished cleaning their houses. What they need now is clothes, fever reducers, saline, house cleaning liquid, allergy medicine, textbooks... Therefore, a "0 VND" booth has been opened in the lobby on the first floor, FCC Commercial Center, Phan Dinh Phung Ward.
To help people know and come to receive goods at the "0 VND" booth, the Ward Youth Union has deployed effective and systematic communication. Information about the program is posted on the official fanpage, and widely shared through groups of branches, grassroots unions and ward unions, organizations, schools, businesses...

"Zero-dong" booths are arranged from the lobby to the inside of the FCC building. |
Ms. Vu Duong Bao Chau, Deputy Secretary of the Phan Dinh Phung Ward Youth Union, shared: The "0 Dong" booth on my personal page has received a total support value of nearly 1 billion VND. Of which, nearly 100 million VND is in cash donations through accounts, and nearly 900 million VND is in kind.
All necessities, clothes and items at the booth were donated by benefactors. We, the youth union members, are the bridge between the volunteer organizations and those in need of help, organizing gift giving and setting up the “0 VND” booth to spread love to the community.
In just the first two days of the event (October 19 and 20), thousands of people came to receive and give gifts, creating a space filled with humanity and sharing.
At the booth area, the youth union members also delicately arranged a small corner with a table and notebook, where visitors can write down their feelings, words of thanks or simply share their stories. Each page left behind is not only a personal feeling, but also a vivid proof of the humanistic value that the “0 Dong” booth brings.

The book keeps the feelings, thanks or simply shares the story of the person receiving the goods. |
There are many touching shares in the small book. Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan, in group 2, Quan Trieu ward, wrote: Thank you very much to the youth union members and benefactors who have supported us with meaningful and practical gifts during the difficult and deprived times due to the flood.
Ms. Chu Mai Phuong, in Phan Dinh Phung ward, wrote: I thank you for supporting me with books...
Previously, during the flood days, the youth union members of Phan Dinh Phung ward organized "Zero-VND meals", with a total of 1,670 free meals distributed to people during and after the flood.
It can be said that the “0 Dong” booth is not simply a material donation, but also a symbol of sharing and solidarity. When each person contributes, the whole community is warmed up. That is the power of humanity, like a fire that never goes out.
