
On that day, Mr. Do Van Chien, Member of the Political Bureau, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, received donations from the Ministry of Construction (5 billion VND); the Vietnam Industrial and Commercial Bank (VietinBank) (10 billion VND); the K15 student group of Hanoi Law University (105 million VND); and Thanh Xuan Trung Primary School, Thanh Xuan Ward, Hanoi (80 million VND).
Handing over a donation of 5 billion VND to the Central Relief Campaign Committee, Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh stated: Responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to support people in areas affected by storms, the leadership, officials, civil servants, and employees of the Ministry have organized fundraising to share the difficulties with people in affected localities, demonstrating the spirit of "mutual support" and "helping those in need" of the Vietnamese people. Simultaneously, the Ministry is mobilizing forces and resources to quickly overcome the consequences of storms and floods, ensuring smooth traffic and other essential infrastructure; and will focus on supporting localities in building flood-resistant housing in the coming period.
On behalf of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Mr. Do Van Chien expressed sincere and profound gratitude to the officials, civil servants, and employees of the Ministry of Construction for their kind hearts and noble gestures towards the people affected by the storms and floods. The Central Relief Campaign Committee is committed to promptly and appropriately distributing all received donations to help the people in the affected provinces rebuild their lives as soon as possible.
On the same day, Ms. Ha Thi Nga, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Vice Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, received 2 billion VND from the Chinese Business Association in Vietnam; 636.113 million VND from the Vietnam Association of Retired Teachers; 5,500 Euros from the Association of Vietnamese People in Westsachsen-zwickau, Germany; and 300 million VND from TSQ Vietnam Company.
